Bruce's Cuts Okra, 14-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

Okra that is left on the stalk too long becomes fibrous or pithy. Bruce's cuts their okra before this happens, resulting in consistently tender okra. I use at least a couple of cans a week and I can only remember one instance in more than two years where I got a piece that was fibrous. It is a simple product, nothing in the can but tender okra, water and salt, but I personally have never tasted another canned okra to equal Bruce's quality. I now live outside of their market area (at least for cut okra) and dearly wish Amazon would carry it.

Eating okra helps me control Type 2 Diabetes, so I add it to various dishes. Okra is available from many sources. A significant issue is the presence of woody fibrous pieces. I read a review that said this brand had almost none of those, but that hasn't been my experience. However, it isn't as bad as some that I have tried, so I keep buying it.
