It was just what I needed!

I had some problems with my original petcock leaking (it is 30 years old). I took it apart and tried to clean the gaskets, but that didn't fix the leak. On top of that, the original petcock had no "OFF" setting (it was supposed to be automatic using the engine's suction). So rather than buy a repair kit and pray the gaskets were the issue, I decided to get a new petcock - one that has an "OFF" setting.I've not leaked any gas since install! Very happy.

fitting pulled out when removing fuel line, lasted a while tho so if you never need to pull off fuel line it will work

This thing fits the '79 KZ400 B2 tank perfectly and flows great! The only issue is, this is not a vacuum petcock, so if you're replacing the stock petcock, you need to plug the vacuum line (the smaller of the two hoses) since it wont be used any more.

If I can give it 0 stars I would. This petcock hole centers do not match up to the holes on the gas tank. In the photo, I had to reinstall the old one. Unfortunately, since I waited for better weather in Chicago, my return time had expired.

Works perfect for my 79 kz400 B2

This petcock was not compatible with my 1977 Kawasaki KZ400D. My old petcock has been removed and is not functional. Now I must seek out the correct one while my motorcycle sits un-operational. Frustrated and displeased with the product description.

The petcock is good but the fuel line fitting is way too small and restricted fuel flow too much to fill up 4 carbs properly
