Berkley® Rattan Creel

Considering the price I didn't expect too much. It was for a retirement party and we had guests sign "best fishes" on fish shaped paper giving advice or whatever for the retiree. The creel while not the finest quality worked fine as a decorative item. Probably could be used as a creel but I doubt it would hold up too long unless the user was careful. However woven items can be tougher than we sometimes think. Over all for what I needed it worked beautifully and really added to the "fishing" theme for the party. He will probably store all his cards and fishes in it.

The clasps are cheap and poorly made

The basket was either warped or wasn’t made correctly. The top of the basket lid didn’t fit/cover the top of the basket and the leather was really thin.

I use it as a mushroom-picking bag

I actually bought this fishing creel as part of a costume, where it was used as a purse. I know this isn't the typical use for it, but it actually held up nicely throughout the evening, even packed full of stuff. As far as other creels I've seen, this one is a bit on the cheaper side, and it shows in the materials of the buckle and those that hold the lid on, but for the price, I wasn't expecting much more. It was still sturdy enough to contain all of the items I places in it without breaking apart so I'm guessing it could also work well with fish. Anyway, if you need something temporary, you can't go wrong price-wise. I totally recommend it.

I recently purchased a foraging basket . and I am very angry at the quality of this . very bad and not well made for the price . This was a christmas present and will be very embarrassed at giving this to my wife . so will have to search again after Christmas

quite similar to what other people described...a bit cheap material but perfect for a costume. would not go fishing with it though :)

Very poor quality. The handle in particular is an awful leather look plastic. Horrible.

Top doesnt align well with basket due to cheap hinges leaving a big gap for a trout to jump out. Better buy a less expensive plastic or fabric creel or invest more on a more quality rattan creel.

This fish basket is a total joke. Its the worst excuse for a fish basket that I have ever seen. with a name like Berkley i expected something half way decent...It started to fall apart 15 min into the fishing trip and after an hour it had completely fallen apart..I certainly hope they will refund me for this piece of garbage.
