My previous blue ox locks did not need the key to re-lock but these need the key in the right position to re-lock

I have numerous hitches on vehicles and trailers and unfortunately in this day and time people are having items taken out of their hitches so I purchased these to secure whatever I have inserted in my hitch. Whether my fish basket, winch, towing hitch itself, platform or hitch extension with this product I know whatever I’ve left on the truck or trailer will still be there upon my return.

A little inconvenient dealing with keys to install and remove. Rubber lock covers are very difficult to remove but that will probably get better with use.

The design does not make it easy to lock and unlock unless you have 3 hands, which sadly I do not have. With the female portion of the lock being the way it is, the pin spins making it difficult to unlock or lock without the additional hand. Look for a lock that is 90 degrees so you can easily do this process with one hand and not three would be my recommendation.

Recently set up my pickup for flat towing; this set (keyed alike) will lock your Blue Ox towbar to your towed vehicle ( points), the Blue Ox towbar to the receiver, and a drop hitch (which I needed to make sure the towbar angle was not excessive) to the RV all in one set.

They seem well built and the lock mechanism is smooth. Too early to tell if they will stand up to the rain and not rust but the finish appears to be good quality. They are in use presently as we travel the southern states.

I like that this kit includes 2 of each size, since I needed a 5/8" for both tow bar and drop hitch.

Four locks with all the same keys. Amazing to have only one key to worry about. Lots of spares for those just in case times. Came in under a week.
