Bought this drill bit to fit a very heavy gate, i have a lot of experience drilling steel of all types there is absolutely nothing wrong with this drill bit if used correctly and at the right speed ' slow ' and also use oil.If you have bought this drill and burned it out then you have been drilling to fast.

I bought three larger drill sizes, 16,18 and 20mm. Perfect drills.Anyone who says they are not sharp enough, or, they go blunt to easily, or any other nonsense, probably don't know how to use them!If you are drilling steel or any hard metals, SLOW your drill and feed rate right down to the correct speed for the drill size!!!Go look it up and do your research!Drilling steel with a >16mm drill, on a fast speed (anything above an absolute maximum of only 250 revs per min.) shows a complete lack of understanding or knowledge of what you are doing!...Instead, go and get a professional engineer, stop trying to cut corners, being impatient, and ending up with a bodged up job!!!! And certainly, don't complain when it goes wrong because you lack know-how or skill! (Rant over). These are perfectly good drills for those who know what they are doing. Praise due and well deserved, as these drills are absolutely fine 🙂.
