Perhaps not an Electret Capsule
This capsule worked well replacing the smaller one in my Audio Technica AT-2020 condenser mic. However, it did not work at all replacing any inexpensive electret capsules. My AT-2020 was powered up by a standard 48v phantom power supply. Elecrtret mics run on a much lower voltage like 2 to 12v. This capsule would not produce any audio as a replacement for any electret mics I tried. However, it sounded great in my AT-2020.
