Hiplok Spin

I wish I had this instead of a cable lock when a thief stole my Kona bike in broad daylight in Tucson. Just nonchalantly clipped the cable with a cable cutter in front of a bar in a busy commercial district.I know that this lock would be exponentially more difficult to compromise under the same circumstances.Even though it is pretty heavy, I don't even feel it around my waist.

Easy to use. Disappears from my awareness when I wear on my waist. So far so good.

So far it’s done what it’s advertised to do. Its length is a bit short for ease of securing frame and wheel to the rack, but that’s only an annoyance.

Works well and fits nicely around the waist. Don’t even know it’s there.

the last digit on this lock does not align. we've WD-40ed it & tried any number of tricks. my 13 year old son hates locking up his bike as it is. with the drama of the last digit catching & not syncing with his entered number, he really balks at using it at all. this was a super cool idea of a bike lock as it offers him visibility, the ability to carry a lock without a bag & great security. however, if the combo doesn't work, there's no point to any of this.

When the thing is fully inserted into the lock body, the thumb wheel for changing the combination is covered.The thumb wheel will not turn unless the current combination is applied to the spinning numbers.I don't know the names of the parts shown in the photos.

Great idea and design, but the fit, finish and quality of materials is not up to what the price tag promises. It looks like a hammer would make short work of the locking mechanism, and additionally, I was unable to set the combination following the included instructions.

Had my bike locked up, took less than 10 min and no tools to break the lock. Probably not worth the money. Cool idea, not the best execution.

It seemed unlikely to do the job of securing my bike - style over substance? We therefore returned as were very disaapointed with the product once we saw and could examine in the flash so to speak.

Not worth purchasing - pay more and get the hiplok flex

Great product, feels well designed/built and secure, best way to carry a fairly chunky chain, let’s the bike take the weight. Nice design features like rotating lock pin and Velcro cover to protect it when worn. Chain is quite short so slightly less flexible as to where you can lock up, but not usually an issue. Good balance of weight, price point and security.
