Started my puppy with a S and then a M. Now he is wearing a large and it fits him perfectly with room to grow. That is so nice to know you will be able to use it as the dog grows. It is sturdy, soft and easy to put on. Would definitely recommend this for a reliable harness.

So happy I found this brand! I originally found an xxxs at homegoods and got it for my Pomeranian puppy. She quickly grew out of it and I ordered 2 of the xxs for her and our 3lb yorkie-poo they fit great! Finally something they don’t fall out of! Most other brands are wayyy too big!

EDIT 2 YEARS LATER: this review is no longer relevant. I ordered a new harness for my dog from this same company- and they CHANGED the entire design of the harness. This time when I tried putting the harness on her- IT GOT STUCK AROUND HER NECK. I COULDNT GET IT OFF AND HAD TO FRANTICALLY CUT IT OFF WITH SCISSORS. I’ll add photos later for reference to this.Old review: very high quality harness! I ordered the size 3XS for my toy chihuahua, whom I added a photo with my hand for reference to her size. She is very small, but not as tiny as some other toy Chihuahuas. The size 3XS says it’s meant for Chihuahuas, so I was sure it would fit her. BUT it was about an inch too small, I couldn’t even close it around her. So I returned it, and ordered the next size up, 2XS, which says it’s meant for Yorkshire terriers. Not sure how large they are, but it fits my dog perfectly!That being said, the harness is a bit of a weird fit at first. It was just built differently than most harnesses you see. Something about the way it goes around her legs makes me thinks it’s uncomfortable, but after the first few minutes of having it on, she was happy and ready to walk! Have walked her a few times now and doesn’t seem to bother her. It’s very high quality, and clasps twice, once with Velcro and then second with a latch.It may not be the best idea For bigger dogs, or really strong dogs who try their hardest to get away; because I can imagine the Velcro coming undone and the clasp not being strong enough. But, I digress, as it’s such a thick harness and the Velcro is great quality, I doubt it would ever break from a dog pulling it. MAYBE after over 10 years.ALSO it has an identification code for if your dog ever gets lost!! I hadn’t noticed this when buying. So if you are someone who doesn’t like putting collars on them or your dog doesn’t like collars, this harness is great for when you leave the house. You don’t have to worry about them not having identification tags (although I would recommend)

My Havanese is not small, weighing around 20 pounds. I ordered a large and he could have used a little bigger. Not as easy to put on as another harness, but once on it seems comfortable and lightweight for him.

This is my go to harness for my dogs. They are secure in it and it doesn’t pull their hair. I have a 5 lb Yorkie and this fits great on her. It’s easy to put on her and she is comfortable in it. I highly recommend.

My hard-headed Yorkie loves to "bolt". She has been able to break through several other harnesses. This one has 3 fasteners: Velcro, snap, and then a double hook for the leash. I always use a harness because Yorkies inherently have trachea issues and shouldn't use a traditional collar. This is the best harness I've ever found. It's very sturdy. I gave 5 stars for comfort because my pup has never complained about wearing it. She didn't actually tell me that it's comfortable.Edited to add: Be aware that this harness will stretch over time. Hard-headed Yorkie was able to pull out of hers a couple of times. I switched her to a new one (same brand) and it fits more snugly. I also ordered one in the next size down. It's a little too snug right now, but I've been letting her wear it once a day so that it will stretch out and then be perfect. I didn't realize that I actually had the same harness in a smaller size that was for a smaller dog (that, sadly, is no longer with me). It had stretched out enough to be just the right size.One other positive note for this harness: It's very easy to put on and take off. Doesn't have to go over the dog's head.

We had tried several different harnesses for our small Spaniel before deciding to pop for this one and I am surely glad we bought it. Worth every penny. It fits well and the materials really are superior. We have used the cooling feature and our pet really likes it. Importantly for me the harness closure is covered by a rubber flap which keeps the dual leash clip D-rings from clacking when he is running off leash. The pet finder feature is thoughtful if redundant for us. The only feature I wish it had (or most of the harnesses for small dogs, for that matter) was an attachment point for license tags or ID disks. Otherwise worth every extra penny we spent.

This is a very nicely made harness which gives the dog plenty of room to move without chafing. The material is relatively rugged and stiff and the clasp is a simple thumb clip type. The two buckles create a safety catch by ensuring the sides are held together.There are a couple of negatives. One, the Velcro patch is not very big. While you might get an inch or two of adjustment, you'd be on the edge of the Velcro patch making the security of the harness a concern if unmonitored. Two, there are no sizes provided, and other similar harnesses which do list the sizes list them incorrectly. Our 3.5lb Morkie did not properly fit the 2XS. She has a 10.5" chest and a 6.5" neck. I've changed my original review from 3 to 4 stars simply because I can't find anything better, and the only real flaw is the limited size adjustment.

Love this harness as it is the perfect fit for my dog. We have tried many different designs but we are on to a winner with this one. There are no buckles that can cause rubbing or chaffing, it looks great and it is easily cleaned. Will definitely buy again in another colour.

I was trying to find a harness which would not hurt my puppy’s trachea as small dogs often have very sensible necks, this harness is fantastic and comfortable.
