I am so happy to have found this all purpose outdoor picnic blanket. It has a beautiful Scottish tartan pattern, I purchased the blue and yellow blanket.The blanket comes folded up and has a carrying handle on one side. There is a velcro strap that holds the blanket packed together when not in use. It does not take up much space when folded up and It is fairly light weight.The side that goes on the bottom towards the ground is waterproof and will keep moisture from the ground to get through the top. The top part of the blanket feels like soft water resistant material. It is easy to clean by wiping off with a damp cloth if it gets dirty. It feels nice to sit on and is both pretty looking but also incredibly versatile because the waterproof material. I tend to keep mine in the car, so I have quick access to the blanket. I also find that it is great to use when my son has had swim practice and I don't want him to sit on the cloth covered car seat with wet swim suit. Having him sit on this waterproof blanket keeps the wet swim suit to get through and wet the material of the car seat.When the blanket is in use and spread out, it is rather large and can fit several people. It is 59" X 77" when unfolded and laid out on the ground. Overall this is a wonderful blanket with so many uses. I would recommend to anyone that enjoys to spend time outdoors and want to have a versatile blanket to sit on. The Zen picnic all purpose blanket is great for any outdoor activities. It works great on the sand, it won't stick to the material. You can easily fold it back to it's original place. The blanket is cozy and big to fit 2 adults or your picnic items. Really enjoyable. I was offered this item at a discount for testing and review purposes.
