A good book for those with a child with Asperger's
Our son has Asperger's and this book helped us understand what is going on with this condition. A must read to understand what your child is going through and how to deal with it.

Book rating
The title and summary led me to think this was a book written for teens and adult adults, however, once I received the book I discovered that it was really written for parents, teachers, and other caregivers for individuals with Asperger's. If you are looking for a book for a teen or young adult to read to help themselves this is not the book. Freaks, Geeks, and Asperger's or Asperger's Rules are better suited. These are the books I bought after finding this one lacking what I needed.

Wanted more resources.
I expected more ways listed in the book to approach social environments.

I was expecting more info for college age kids...
"Teens and young adults" gave me the impression that it would be more info/guidance for Aspies beyond HS. Thank you!

Best book I ever bought for my son
My son is a teenager now. I bought this book a while ago. Finally got around to writing a review. EVERY PARENT WITH A TEEN WITH AUTISM MUST HAVE THIS BOOK. This book has chapters on dating, bullying, considerations for college, hygiene issues...you name it. Obviously Craig Kendall has a teenager with Asperger's syndrome because nobody who hasn't lived through this experience could understand like he does. The advice is flawless. My wife and I have practically worn out the pages of the book. We use it all the time as a reference source (along with his other book The Asperger's Syndrome Survival Guide). The book is written in a way that is easy to understand and practical. I have several other books on autism and Aspergers but none of them are so easy to understand and none have helped so much. What is it about authors who write about autism that they endlessly explain the symptoms and issues but don't tell you exactly what you should do to solve the problems? Craig Kendall tell parents how to solve issues and make life easier. My son has done great in school and now has a girlfriend. There was a lot his mom and I had to explain to him and this book pointed out the many issues we needed to discuss explicitly AND how to approach him about these issues. If you have a child with autism who is a teenager or you want to prepare for the teen years then buy this book immediately.
