Expensive, but very effective relief from Fuch's Dystrophe
Fuch's Dystrophe is a chronic swelling of the corneas that causes one's eyes to be almost constantly irritated and sore. It is not a dangerous medical condition, bit it is awfully uncomfortable and annoying. I tried Muro 123 5% at my optometrist's recommendation, and results have been good.Regular eye drops do provide some relief from the "scratchy" feel by lubricating the surface of the eye, but little more. Muro 128 5% actually reduces the swelling of the cornea for an hour or two after each application, which gives significant symptomatic relief and makes driving, using electronic displays, and other potentially eye straining activities easier and less uncomfortable.A few things that you need to know: This product reduces the scratchy, itchy symptoms, but (regrettably) does not cure. One should expect to have to reapply several times a day for effective relief. It burns. Others have complained about this, and they are right. It does this because of the relatively high concentration (5%) of sodium chloride (NaCl, or "salt") in the solution. This is uncomfortable, but lasts only a minute or so and, with regular use, becomes less uncomfortable. This is, as my kids say, 'a feature, not a flaw'. The high NaCl concentration is what does the work of reducing the swelling that causes the discomfort. It draws water out of the swollen corneas by osmosis, and that is why this product is more effective than typical eye drops that moisturize and lubricate, but do not reduce the swelling that causes the dryness and scratchiness. And, with regular use, this side effect becomes less and less a problem. For me, the relief that I get more than makes up for the cost and a little stinging for a minute or two after application (which I hardly notice any more).

I see much better
I was having trouble with seeing line and lights and my doctor could not find anything wrong. I returned home from the eye doctor wiped out and a friend recommended these eyedrops. After reading the reviews I decided to try them. They stink a bit at first but its really not bad. After that there seems to be more clarity. My eyes have slowly improved and I will continue to use these drops.

Good drops for sore, dry, scratchy eyes
My eye doctor recommended these drops to me many years ago when I complained about dry, scratchy eyes. He told me to use these until the soreness/scratchiness went away, and to continue to use regular eye drops to keep my eyes from getting dry. I continued to use them from time to time over the years whenever I encountered the same problem. They are pricey, and at one point I did buy a store brand (I think it was from Walgreens), and they seemed to work as well. I think the price of these drops have come down about $10 since I first started buying them.Your eyes will burn for a few seconds after you apply the drops, but the results are worth it!

Good product for extreme dry eyes
This somehow works to reduce swelling and reduce water in the eyes. It burns for about 20 seconds but there is relief. I’m young and have extreme dry eyes mainly at night so bad that my eye lids stick to my eyeball. I’ve been to multiple specialists and they have no idea what it could be. But this provides some relief.

Doctor recommended
I use the Muro eye salve at night before bedtime to soften outer layer of eye due to an eye problem of outer layer regenerating itself too quickly and creating a sand like substance to form in the eye ! There is a name for it I can't remember ! Its like diabetes controllable but not curable . Muro controls it !
