Love it, I was able to program my remote starter.

This product could be so much better. First off it doesn’t come with proper instructions. Instead, they show you a youtube video on how to plug the USB into a computer (like i didn’t know how to before). I spent another HOUR searching though instructions online until I found a page that works. Then, you have to HOLD STEADY otherwise if the usb port moves EVEN A LITTLE BIT you have to start over because it will disconnect. It is very frustrating and I’m not sure why they cheap out when it comes to important products like these.

I bought one of these directly through MPC (thank you for the military / veteran discounts) and they had to exchange it TWICE to no fault of theirs. Here's the key: Do not follow the video instructions included for updating, simply ask MPC to email you the instructions for your vehicle and follow those exactly. Once this was resolved, it worked beautifully to install in the wife's 2009 Ford Escape as we bought the vehicle used and had only one original key and one clone key. This allowed me to add the MPC remote start kit to the vehicle no problem.For troubleshooting purposes to anyone else out there, I would receive a message for the unit being in FLU mode after attempting the firmware update. It would eventually go to a not-detected state, so I can only assume that something in the update bricks the entire serial connection.
