Good looking pump, quality and longevity questionable.
So five months into my ownership and only a handful of uses, last night the pump let me down when I needed it.I suffered a flat and had got through my two CO2 cartridges trying to reinflate the tyre, but luckily I thought I had the pump as a final backup to get me going again. About 30 or so strokes into the inflation process, the pump locked up, allowing no more air to be pushed into the tyre. Pushing the deflation button did nothing, and nor did taking the pump off the valve and reinserting it. A bit more pushing and the handle fell off, which was game over.I nearly threw it on the nearest bin there and then, but thought I’d bring it back on the walk home with me so I could take some pictures for a review. I really don’t like leaving bad reviews, but when a product fails so badly, it feels like the right thing to do.A shame, as I liked the pump and it was a good size for fitting to the bike on longer rides, and when it was working it worked well, but mine seemed to suffer from poor build quality.

Broken on arrival. The steel pump chamber is defective never could pump up tire. Very disappointing
I bought this pump due to the high pump pressures and small size, unfortunately it was never able to pump up tires. There was a defect in the steel chamber which meant the air pressure despite being tight and sealed on my bike never was high enough to pump up the tire. The air would whoosh out the steel chamber at the side of the arm on the pump and not go into the tube into the valved tire.I'm sure if it wasn't defective it would pump but I would not run the risk and just get yourselves a full sized biked bump for home for 35quid or so which you know will be built to do the job.Contacted seller for refund but no response as yet.

WARNING = May cause severe rage!
Purchased this pump a few weeks ago and having tried to use twice I ended up losing my rag with the thing to the point where actually smashed it into pieces on the floor... Seriously.I am sure for standard valves this pump is great, but if you have a road bike with presta valves this is absolutely not the pump for you!Whilst it is true that the pump has a feature that allows for use with a presta valve, it is very clearly an after thought and is so fiddly to get right that you actually end up with flatter tyres than you started with!In hindsight of course I do wish I kept my cool and simply sent the pump back... But when you having pumping away for 20 mins all for the sake of approx 10 PSI to then adjust the pump nozzle very slightly (you have to do that routinely as you pump otherwise it stops pushing air into the tyre) and all of the air you had put in (plus at least 50 PSI that was already in there!!) comes flying out and you are left with a flat tyre in a matter of seconds.. Well, it is not easy to keep your cool in that situation! The lesson I have learned here is simply that sometimes you cannot cut corners. If I would have just spent ÂŁ5 more I would have got a pump specifically made for presta valves.Buy cheap, buy twice folks.

Well realized skepticism
I Bought this pump as I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and lack the storage to keep a full size track pump, when I read about the features of this pump in comparison to the size I was a little skeptical, could a pump of this size really be up to the job of inflating the tires on both my BMX and also my road bike? The short answer is no, the first time I used it I inflated my BMX tires to 80psi and in fairness it did the job, albeit after around 20 minutes of pumping. The second time I used it to inflate my road bike tires, the handle promptly snapped off, this was of course an inconvenience however the pump could still be used if you held the handle in place so I carried on, however almost immediately after, the pump just ceased to work, you could push down as hard as you like but it would not pump any air, it was almost as if the hose was blocked and it was pumping against a dead head. I promptly bent the pump in half and threw it in the wheelie bin, complete waste of time, money and effort. Do not buy this small aluminium nazi, buy a proper track pump as I will be doing this evening.

Broke on first use. Stopped working/Pump handle broke off.
Really hate leaving bad reviews. But this was ridiculous. Running BMX Street tyres with maximum 110PSI. Couldn’t reach half and broke on the first tyre.First of all the gauge doesn’t read properly at all, Didn’t read anything then read 50psi and wouldn’t pump anymore past that.Wouldn’t even pump first tyre all the way.The pump wouldn’t even press down anymore(yes properly Screwed all the way down on valve stem.)When attempting to even pump the second tyre the handle at the top simply broke off.No extra force was being made, simple using the pump as I have any other pump I’ve used in my 15 years I’d riding freestyle BMX.That being said, in ALL my time spend riding bikes I’ve NEVER seen a tyre that required anything over 200PSI.Listing 300PSI on all these small pumps is a sales gimmick and if you were to ever be able to get a small pump like this to reach 300PSI it would likely take you a couple hours. (If the flimsy nature of these devises even lasted half that)With the benefit of the doubt, The companies May be suggesting that the pump can handle 300PSI of pressure before the o rings burst. But certainly not the capability of pumping 300PSI.If you’re pumping up kids play toys, or a infants bike you may be alright for a little while. But for any sort of standard/professional use on the go this pump simply just isn’t mustard.Ye be warned.

From novice to pro
I had absolutely no idea what I was doing with this when i first recieved it/used it. I was a complete pump virgin. So had to read the instructions a couple of times. Now I have used it a few times though... I'm a pump whizz! Good quality. Aesthetically pleasing. Great for all inflatables. Very handy

Belongs to a lab, not on a bike
The pump is quite long for it to be a proper portable pump and it appears to be formed delicately with the main pump shaft and a separate gauge mounted next to it. If I stepped on it by accident, I would bet it would break easily. Get the one sold by Halfords instead, much smaller, has a bigger dial on the gauge and comes with a 3 year guarantee.
