Best cookbook ever! I super fast shipping, cheap price and perfect condition. I used this same book when I was in high school, my mother had it. So I was VERY happy I was able to buy my own copy.

I think this is a good basic baking cookbook. It has some good tips in it and lots of pictures which I love. It is a big heavy book. I don't pull it out weekly but do use it.

This is a wonderful book to get the cookery imagination going with over 400 recipes in it. Every recipe is illustrated, weights in metric and imperial, complete with nutritional notes too. There is a good information section at the start of the book with plenty of 'photos to illustrate the various techniques involved. The book covers: Biscuits & Bars; Buns & Tea-breads; Pies & Tarts; Cakes & Gateaux; Everyday Breads; Classic Breads from Around the World and a Low-fat Cakes & Bakes section. In the introduction/techniques section, for example, there were some good ways to decorate pies with various edging that I had not seen before, and I certainly didn't think that there could be so many variations on the humble Swiss Roll! Although in my opinion manly aimed at inexperienced cooks, I thoroughly recommend it as an excellent addition to any cooks library.

If you love to bake as much as I do, then you're sure to love this wonderful book. It's crammed packed full of delicious recipes that you simply have to try. It's going to take me ages to bake all the recipes I want to try, but I know it'll be worth it.
