Very loud
Love it. Gets my son up for school every day with out issue. He has it at the other side of the room to his bed. Goes off at 10 past when he thinks he has set it for the hour though.

Mechanical? Really?
How can it be a mechincal wind up if its battery operated? That will teach me to go through the description with a fine tooth comb instead of just reading the banner. Excuse me for thinking that anything can operate with out a battery.
