Evaporative Cooler

Bought this to cool down my room on these summer nights, and i am in love. Not only does it have a a much more sleek look to it than my regular fan it is far more silent without lacking in its purpose to cool and blow air. Not to mention the water and ice compartment which is absolutely amazing you can literally feel 10 degrees fall with this on in the bedroom. And just as a plus it has a remote that is extremely convenient at times. I would reccomend this to anyone. If you have a window ac you can put this in front of it and it really helps spread the cool much faster as well so you dont have to have that noisy energy consuming ac on for too long.

This is definitely a nice fan!Using the ice packs brings the temp of the air blowing down a few degrees. (Like other reviewers, I must note that this is not akin to an air conditioner, but it is most definitely cooler than an average fan.) I set it up a few feet away from me & it keeps me cool, even in the heat wave I've been experiencing where I live.I think it's especially nice for pet owners, as it stops fur from getting trapped in ordinary fan mechanisms. Most pet owners know how pet fur gets stuck in an ordinary fan, but with this, a damp sponge or cloth just wipes it away.One note that doesn't come with the manual however--the 2 ice-packs that come with it have sand-like particles rattling around in them. I thought they were moisture absorbers & shook most of them out of the packs. Turns out they were gelling agents which react with the water you fill them with &, I guess, keep the ice packs cool longer. Luckily for me, there was enough still stuck in the ice packs to gel, but perhaps my ice packs would stay cooler longer if I hadn't dumped them out beforehand!I would recommend this fan, as long as you don't expect it to act like an air conditionr.

Hot summer nights? What if you could have an evaporative cooler that was small enough for your bedroom? Wouldn’t that be great? Maybe so but I can tell you - this is NOT it. Sigh. Please don’t believe paying more will get you more. After purchasing this unit, I went and spent $18 on a box fan for my window that did about 100X better at cooling. It’s very pretty and fancy. The remote is thin (also irritating as you must push all buttons twice). The air flow is average, and the sound very loud (on medium and high settings). I appreciate the rotating feature. The super fantastic water reservoir?? Just the worst. Half a gallon gets you maybe 5 hours so prepared to be awoken by the fan making some horrendous noise when it runs out of water. Also - you cannot remove the water reservoir...think of mold, hard water salts, the odd moth or two, just handing out in the reservoir.Should I talk about the price? I won’t because then I will get very sad because I believed the marketing hype and proved that I am a simpleton swayed by shiny things. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Buy yourself - just one $20 box fan, put it in your window at night, and actually feel cool. All the best.

We have our bedroom upstairs and is very hot up there. This cooler works so good. We slept so good. Actually had to cover up in the night as it really cooled the room so good. No noise to mess with sleep and the blue kite shuts of after 10 minutes so not bright light and the remote makes things easier as well. And supper easy to use. Love this and recommend to anyone wanting to cool off and is portable so you can use it anywhere.

I bought this for my bedroom in my apartment because it gets at least 85 degrees. This brought my room down to about 75 although I only have it pointing on me when I sleep so I'm not sure if the whole room feels better. I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't hold enough water to keep me cool through the night. You get about 3 hours out of it. When it runs out of water it automatically turns to the fan setting which is convenient. The fan works great and is quiet. I'm happy I purchased it because it definitely makes my room less miserable.

This is a GREAT fan!!! I love the style. It's like a standard pillar fan but it has the cooling component I am in love with. I refill the basin with fresh ice packs and ice water throughout the day and right before bed.... and OMG!!!!! XD My husband and I run hot and live in a small apartment without AC and it is murder to try to cool down most nights. I have the window AC units and the standard swamp coolers give me bad memories. This is a lifesaver! tempted to buy a second one even though I live in a 500 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment...Side note: this fan is great for working at home, but that is because you have to keep refilling it to really make the cooling function work in a hot space. Also, the water basin will run out of water within about 4-6 hours at full blast.
