Best Dog Beds I’ve Found!
We’ve had these dog beds for almost 9 months, and they’re the best dog beds I’ve found for the price. We have three dogs, one of which loves to “dig” vigorously in her bed before she lays in it, and these beds have held up well! We bought two of the large size for the two 55 lb. dogs and one XL size for the 65 lb. dog—all with the Denim blue covers. These beds have been puked on, jumped on with dirty paws, and subjected to all kinds of doggie activities; and they are still nearly as great as the day we bought them. There is one TINY hole in the cover of the one bed that’s a favorite for “digging” and wrestling. I just discovered it last week and flipped the bed over for now, but it seems like it will be easy to fix with a denim patch I already have. I wash the covers regularly, and they’ve held up without any noticeable shrinking or fading. The zippers are super heavy-duty and show no signs of breaking or tearing at the seams anytime soon. The inner waterproof liner is REALLY WATERPROOF, people! And it’s not at all crinkly when the dogs lay down on the beds. When they have puked on the beds, I just strip off the cover and waterproof liner, throw the cover in the washing machine, and hand-wash the liner (per the manufacturer’s instructions). The memory foam inner core (solid memory foam—not shredded) stays dry and odor free. (I will say I’ve always discovered the puke within an hour or so of it happening, so I can’t say whether the results would be the same if it sits longer.)(As you can see from the photo, I have put each of these beds on top of another elevated bed. I did this to make the elevated beds more cushy and to keep these memory foam beds from sliding all around on the wood floors as the dogs run and jump on them. And yes they do have three of these beds even though they all jumped on the same one for this photo. lol!)I have bought dozens of other dog beds in this general price range. The last one I bought before these was about $35 and lasted maybe a couple of months before I threw it out. Its removable, washable cover quickly tore, and the zipper broke after the first wash. The inner “water-resistant” liner on that old bed didn’t do much except hold the shredded memory foam that made up the core of the bed. And it easily tore, spilling the memory foam contents into the outer cover. Any time the dogs puked on that old bed, it quickly soaked right through to the memory foam and made it stink. I wish I’d spent the extra $10 to get these beds initially. I’m going to save lots of cleaning time and money in the long run.Oh, and the dogs love these beds too! They lay on them all day. And even though they’re allowed up on the couch, they often choose their beds over the couch.P.S. Despite being an amazon Prime member for over a decade, this is my first ever review. I just love these beds so much. I didn’t know it was possible to get this excited over a dog bed...haha!

Overall good quality memory foam. Ballistic cover does not do as well as I'd hoped in washer.
**UPDATE and rating change: The company reached out to me to discuss the defective cover mentioned below. Customer service was very nice and we're eager to help make my experience right. They said they'd send me a replacement but I received TWO replacement covers! My dog loves this bed. I can tell her joints are happy with it too.The bed arrived quickly and looked just like the pictures. My dog did not like it initially, but she warmed up to it. I'm not sure if it was the ballistic cover material she didn't like or that this is a true memory foam material and she sunk in. The foam seems to be a very good quality solid gel memory foam; not the cheap egg crate foam. The only problem (and the reason for the lower rating) is the ballistic cover. It claims it's odor resistant, which is one of the things that sold me on this bed. My dog has a skin disorder that makes her smell horrible. She's been laying on this bed since Christmas. I've hand washed with a wash cloth a few times until today when I put it in the washer.First, it does in fact hold odors. Not as bad as other cloth covers, but it's still lingering. Second, I washed it on warm like the directions said using a mild free and clear detergent, I then air dried it. I just grabbed it to put back on her bed and the cover is almost glued to itself. You can see in the pictures how it looks as if it was some sort of glue? I had to spend 10 minutes trying to selerate it from itself. I really hope that this does not effect the durability. And I really hope that it did not leave this residue in my washing machine!

Foam bed is very good, but I'd avoid the ballistic cover for bedroom use
UPDATE 2, 7/25/2018:The seller is sending out a full replacement of the original bed with a different cover. I have to say, this seller definitely wants to have satisfied customers. The fact that they were proactive enough to reach out to me is very positive. I have revised my original review based on my interactions with the seller.UPDATE 1, 7/23/2018:The seller contacted me about my experience and has offered a replacement or refund, which speaks to the good customer service you should expect from them. They have not processed a refund or return yet, but I plan to update my rating to reflect the customer service if they follow up on the offer.ORIGINAL REVIEW, 6/28/2018While the bed is nice from a functional standpoint as a bed, there are a few negatives associated with the ballistic cover choice.1. The ballistic cover is noisy. Consider this if this bed is in your bedroom. You will definitely hear your dog moving around on it, especially when claws run across it.2. We got the ballistic cover for durability, but it did not prove to be any more resistant to chewing than any other cover material. Our 9 month old puppy had been using the bed since February of this year. She had already chewed up some of the corner of the ballistic cover, but had left it alone for months. She finally decided to really rip into it, even though she had a chew toy in the crate with her (as always). If you have a dog that really wants to chew up his/her bed, don't expect the ballistic cover to be significantly more resistant than any other material. If you want the durability for something other than chewing, the ballistic cover might be the right choice for you.Considering the noisiness of the ballistic cover, and the fact that it didn't prove to be any more resistant to damage than the covers of any of the other dog beds we've used and are currently using (those covers have typically been microfiber with a nylon backing), I would not purchase it with the ballistic cover for use in a bedroom. The ballistic cover may be better suited for other locations/applications.
