Not waterproof. Barely water resistant.
Not at all water proof as it says in description. Water beaded up not just in rain but under heavy dew. It was impossible to pull tight enough for water to run off without pooling. The edge fabric is not as stretchy as the rest so essentially it ended up being tight as possible but still with give in the middle. I only gave it two stars because it blocks the sun well and keeps shaded area cool. Mine finally ripped on the one rainy day I was not home to push the pooled water off.
