Not bad - you get what you pay for
This product came a bit earlier than expected, a big plus. Some people in the reviews said their order did not come with the tuner; mine actually did, along with a few replacement strings and a couple picks, a couple small Allen wrenches, and a 1/4 inch audio cord. The guitar feels cheap in your hands; It's quite lightweight, so it's easy to handle; the body feels a bit hollow; there were quite a few dings in the body and neck when it arrived, the pick guard actually had a crack in it on the horn, and some parts are rough around the edges; when pulling the audio cord out the guitar, the pick guard lifts up and tries to come free, which I'm afraid may crack or break later on.This is probably not the type of instrument you try painstakingly to keep polished all the time and treat like a baby, it's more like the type of guitar that you attach stickers to, or graffiti with a marker, and you probably wouldn't mind letting a young child play it in case they accidentally drop or mishandle the instrument. The neck is not finished or varnished, it has some sort of very light treatment, so you could actually sand it lightly and then put a thicker finish on, customize the body, or whatever suits your taste. You will most likely need to tune it a bit at the bottom and tighten the strings. Besides a little bit of faint buzzing, there are no complaints with the sound on my part. If you're trying to spend $99 on a real quality bass guitar with excellent sound and a heavy feel to it, I say save your cash for something better because this may disappoint you. If this is a gift for someone who has never played bass and is interested in learning, and you're not trying to shell out a large amount of money to find out the person you bought this for has let it become an abstract art piece collecting dust in a corner, you can't go wrong with this, as it is the best bang for your buck.

Meh
This bass isn't all that great. It isn't terrible for the $89 price tag I got it for, but it is definitely lacking. You can feel how light it is when you pick it up, which isn't a great thing for me. It speaks of cheap parts and I like to feel the weight of a good axe in my hands while I'm rocking. I had to widen the nut by myself because the strings kept slipping out when my rocking became to raucous. I also had to raise the saddle and adjust the neck quite significantly. I don't really know what the technical term for this is, but it doesn't output much sound either. I plug my guitar into my audio interface and I'm clipping when I turn the input up to not even halfway, with this bass I have to turn it up 3/4 of the way, nearly to full before it clips. Doesn't sound all that great either. Eventually I want to take it apart and add my own pickups, nobs, etc, so if that is something you would want to do, this bass is probably great for that or as a starter, all the extra stuff that comes with it (which I haven't tried) would be good for starting too. If you are experienced, already own a bass, whatever, you should pass on this. Get what you pay for.

It not bad
When I order the bass it said it would arrive in 2-5 weeks. I waited 8 weeks before I emailed Crescent and they said they can get it to me in a two days. Two days I finally got the bass the only problem is that the bass was black and on the back there are three dents. I know for the most part it was not Crescent's fault it was the USPS's fault for the dents so I ignored the dents. So I tuned the bass and there was a pop. I looked that the E string and it was still intact so I finish tuning my bass and I started playing with my bass a week later my bass teacher pointed out that my bridge collapsed after he replaced the bridge my bass seems okay. Overall this bass is good if this is your starter bass. You might want to get a new tuner, a new strap (the one they put in the kit always falls when a put the strap on) and buy a decent amp.

I have not found anything bad about this bass package
The reason for 4 stars is that it is a little neck heavy, but nothing to discourage someone from buying this bass. I read the reviews. Someone said the bass had flaws in workmanship and the gig bag was a flimsy plastic bag. I have not found anything bad about this bass package. I got the transparent blue color to match my Les Paul Jr. guitar, but the color is a different shade of blue, but still looks great. Seems to stay in tune quit well. The tuner works ok. I will get another strap. For the price, this is a great deal. I received this package a week earlier than promised on free standard shipping.

Not Bad For The Price
I bought this guitar as a practice guitar. It only cost as much as a couple of packs of new guitar strings. It is built like a Fender P-bass. The sound is pretty good. The guitar is lightweight and the sound is better than I expected. it is perfect for practice sessions. This would be the perfect bass guitar for a beginner. It doesn't cost much, so you don't have to make a crazy investment to try it out. The guitar bag that comes with it is almost worthless. The bag is so thin and cheap that it will tear up on you within the first few days. The tuner that comes with it is pretty nice, but it doesn't come with a battery. Overall, this guitar is well worth the money.

Friend Loves It, We Get To Start A Band Now
It's says its comes with a strap and extra strings. It doesn't. Or at least mine didn't. Other than that, it seems to be a pretty cool bass. I gave it to my friend so he can practice and officially join my band just like he always wanted and when I handed it to him, his eyes lit up more than a kid's eyes when they're in a candy shop. For hours now he's been really excited and we're very grateful for such a low price because I didn't have to spend that much and now he doesn't owe me that much.EDIT: about one week later:The company was nice enough to reship the missing items and they would have got here sooner if not for some kind of delay, but the delay was not the company's fault. They were very nice to help me and give me estimated days of arrival. Just going through all that trouble was very nice of them. Might order again, but next time electric guitar because the guitarist of our band only has an acoustic.
