WMFFunction 4, 8pc Stainless Steel Cookware Set

I love these pots, although I don't love the lids. I have had this set over three years and they still look almost new and I use them all the time.Pros: Easy to clean, heats evenly, nice design.Cons: Not a lid for every pot, one lid has to be shared (could be a problem if I'm using both pots at the same time). Also the lids need to be taken apart at times and cleaned if liquid gets between the glass and the metal handles. Even with these two issues I still love this set of pots.

After trying so many different brands that you can find out there, I chose these, since I was just hopeless trying to find a good pot that doesn’t get awful after a year or so.We have been using these for almost 2 years and looks the same as when we bought it.Super durable, they don’t get rust and very easy to clean!

I am a huge fan of WMF after living in Germany for over a decade and using many WMF products, and bought this set upon my return to the US and have not been disappointed. This set has a stylish design and very high-quality steel. WMF uses a manufacturing process whereby you can literally scorch a pot and after soaking for a while, cleans up like new! This brand has excellent durability and I am looking forward to many years of use. Glass covers come with each pot and in my opinion is a fantastic value for the money.

The pots are all good. The feel is sleek, and the sizes are very functional. The price is also very good. One thing that annoys me after one use is that water gets into the space between lid handle and glass, and there is no way to get it out except to unscrew the handle from the lid. That is really bad.

I have owned at least five or six different sets of cookware in my life, starting with Revere Ware, graduating to Calphalon, and finally real copper with tin lining. (I may have forgotten one other set that I had when I was in the Army and knew next to nothing about cooking and couldn't have cared less.) Since then I've become a serious cook. I became aware of the WMF set while browsing in Kustermann's in Munich, Germany's top source for kitchen utensils. I was intrigued by the design but the price in euros was very high indeed. Upon returning to the States I found I could buy a set for roughly half that price and I decided to take the plunge. Boy, am I glad I did. I am one of those people who really NEEDS the built-in lip and the silicone lining. On one hand, I tend to spill hot liquids when I am decanting them, and I also tend to misjudge how much heat I need to warm a dish. No problem here. The lip makes decanting flawless, and one has a choice of just how much air to allow to escape during the cooking process (or, if one wishes, none at all). The heft and feel of the pieces is reassuring, and they clean very easily. Bottom line: this is the best set of cookware on the US or any other market.

After just boiled some water, lots of water marks are all over on the bottom of the brand new pot...bad material, super disappointed.

The media could not be loaded. I like the pots - they are high quality steel with a heavy, thick base. WMF has a great reputation as a manufacturer of pressure cookers, so I was delighted that this set went on a Lightning sale.However, the lids collect water and other crud from the dishwasher in a gap between the lid handles and the glass top. The water and crud get in, but I can't shake it out. I would have to take the lid handle off with a wrench since the handle is secured with a nut from the underside of the lid. To me, stuck water is synonymous with mold and bacteria...Another complaint, and this is minor, but the inside walls of the pots have little dimples in them where the handles attach to the pots.I really wanted to like this set, but I'm not sure I can live with the tops collecting and trapping water like that.

These pans are amazing! They are of heavy steel and are substantial. They heat up evenly and one of the best buys for the price. They are easy to clean. I searched for years for good quality pans at a good price and these pans have met and succeeded my expectations.
