A Totally Woke And Non-GMO Pasta
It’s great that this pasta is non-GMO! Since us rich westerners can afford to pay more for our food, being a non-GMO product helps to stop the use of transgenic crops in order to keep foods costs as high as possible for those growing, poorer countries. So thank you to Banza for supporting that cause with being non-GMO!As far as the taste, it’s pretty good like eating the canned peas your mother use to serve. The water was also milky white while cooking that smelled wonderful as it splashed and burned on the stove top. Once cooked, the pasta sticks together like a mop used to clean up a broken jar of organic honey, so you certainly need to use more of our fresh water resources in order to rinse it. (But hey, we can also afford the bottled water to rinse it… isn’t being a rich westerner great?!) Now if only this product was also organic it would be totally woke!

Pasta without the guilt!
I just ordered more Banza pasta! I have tried the spaghetti that I ordered. It's just fine! It seems to be more filling than ordinary pasta. The only downside is that I might have a bit more gas to expel since this is made with chickpeas (beans). That's not a huge factor! I'm pretty sure I'll get used to this eventually!I just wish this company would come up with lasagna noodles and more varieties of pasta shapes! Gluten-free as well is such a good thing! I have a dear friend who is going gluten free. I want to give her some Banza pasta for a Christmas present along with some gluten-free cookies that I hope will come out okay with the substitute type of flour! If you are an addict to pasta like myself, you will totally LOVE this pasta despite it's high cost! You can eat this without worry of weird chemicals, antibiotics, growth hormones, GMO's or whatever! And you will not have to resort to trying to find meat that's not full of crap as a source of protein in your diet!

To be fair - THIS - was a food experiment. I wasn't sure what to expect. It was OKAY.
Expensive compared to wheat spaghetti pasta. -- I wasn't sure what to expect. This is an on-going experiment. For those who are curious, Banza ("Chickpea") spaghetti has a very mild chickpea/nut-like taste. It cooked up just like (wheat) spaghetti pasta and maintained its consistency. "Chickpeas" are "Garbanzo Beans" and they are used to make hummus. I love hummus, however, hummus is made with a variety of spices which might include turmeric, tahini, garlic, cumin, ginger, lemon, salt, and likely olive oil. All or some of which could be used (I'd guess) to make a spicy/tangy sauce for your Banza pasta. I have those spices on order an intend to experiment. In the meantime, I ate Banza Spaghetti with grilled chicken breast slices and "Frank's RedHot 'Stingin' Honey Garlic Sauce." It was good. (I wonder of "Banza" could make spaghetti that tastes like hummus??? THAT would be great.)

Just like spaghetti noodles
The noodles cook just like spaghetti and hold up to sauce just like spaghetti. They have a mild taste and don't affect the taste of the sauce. I will buy again.

Great taste & texture
Great taste and texture. Gluten free noodles that taste like regular spaghetti. Chickpeas are much healthier than refined flour.

... noodles made by this same company (which replaced a bad order of spaghetti noodles)
This review is actually for the corkscrew noodles made by this same company (which replaced a bad order of spaghetti noodles). The noodles boil up well, hold together even as leftovers, and feel very much like ordinary wheat pasta. My husband is both gluten intolerant and Type II diabetic, so this line of pasta is a godsend for him. Not only is there no gluten in the noodle, the chickpeas from which the pasta is made helps to keep blood sugar in check. Talk about a double win!

Love this spaghetti
Love this spaghetti... was hopIng Banza made this cut of pasta and look forward to other types not are not just cut pasta like fettucine or angel hair. Banza is such a great option for those that want to add fiber and protein to their diet and have a bit of pasta taste rather than just traditional semolina pasta. I make it with a bunch of roasted vegatables on top and sliced ricotta salada cheese to add some flavor. As a Registiered Dietitian I highly recommend it!!

Tastes like real pasta!
Love the flavor. Texture is the same as real pasta. As long as you make an excellent sauce, you can't tell this is chick peas. Only complaint is that the serving size in the box is half of a regular box of spaghetti. And at $5 a box, it becomes a pricey habit.
