Reversible Ripple Afghans

I bought this specifically for the sweetheart ripple pattern. The pattern is simple enough once you figure it out but I still had to seek out outside help from the guide: the instructions weren’t as clear as I’d like and for the price I wish the patterns offered more information on sizes and chaining (ex- chains for a baby blanket or at the least multiples to work in)The stitch guide in the back definitely leaves something to be desired. I find I can’t enlarge it and have it readable on my phone (which is typically what I have with me when crocheting).

I saw the reversible heart afghan on pinterest and felt that it alone was worth the price I paid for this pattern booklet. However, if you're smarter than me, or just balking at the price+ shipping cost- click on Look Inside, then Back Cover and check out the pictures of the front & back of all five. While these aren't psychedelic, they are pretty trippy, (Yep I'm old enough to remember the 60 s when Elvis was thin, the Beatles & the Rolling Stones were YOUNG, and I listened to P.P.& M., Simon & Garfunkle, the Mamas & the Papas, Dylan, and the Byrds.) Peace & love, man.

I only bought this for the Sweetheart Ripple pattern, which is amazing. The instructions are clear and it makes a beautiful afghan. I wasn't as impressed with the other patterns, but they also seemed to be clearly written and easy to understand.

Can't wait to start on the sweetheart afghan for our granddaughters. Great book. Highly recommend to others interested in this craft.Mrs. TechMan

Can’t wait to try out been looking for the pattern with the hearts for awhile

If I could return the book I would. I was never able to figure out the hearts pattern. I spent hours and hours trying to get it right. Last night I couldn't sleep thinking about it. No I would not recommend this book.

Do not buy this unless you have one of the large Kindles. On a Kindle Fire 6 or 7 inch, the photographs and the charts are suuuuuuuuper tiny. Many of us crocheters need to see the examples as well as read the pattern - as far as special stitches, the micro-sized chart was useless. I had to google to find something so I could figure out what a Triple Front Post Single Crochet even was.I am sure that in the dead tree format this is a good book.

The patterns are beautiful but as I bought because of the “heart waive” I felt really disappointed, pattern is confusing, I could not do the special stich, there should be a picture of the special stitch or at the very least pattern graphic but there is not. Bit annoyed. I gave three stars because the other patterns are quite do-able. So it was partly worth it.

Cant wait to get started with some of these patterns. Not done ripple patterns before so really looking forward to having a go.
