I'm only giving this product three starts because it is a great product. you get exactly what you see and exactly what you expect. The reason I did not give it five stars is because I gave this product to my hamster and my two guinea pigs and neither one of them would give it more then two nibbles. They did not like this at all. I guess you wont really know until you try it with your pets but that's how my animals responded.

True to the description but my hamsters didn't like them.
This product is true to its description on the listing and does not look like it is artificially produced. I can't really smell any "apple" in it though! But it sure feels and smells like twigs and little branches. It is definitely a great product but unfortunately, my two winter white hamsters didn't like them. I bought these to let the hammies chew on because they have been chewing on the cage wires and I thought these would have been a good idea since they are more close to nature. But unfortunately it is not to their liking. They have not chewed on it and I will always have a whole stick that is totally untouched at the corner of the cage, under the bedding (see photo). They would sometimes move over to smell it a little but never to chew on them.

Depends on your rabbits pallette.
We've had 3 of these in bunny's crate for a month now, and so far he has nibbled at the bark of one. For the price though, it's worth getting just to see if your bunny likes it, just don't be surprised if he ends up ignoring them. Our bunny prefers chewing on this, because he gets to pull it apart first and then chew on it (it's not the type of wood, because he also ignores the willow sticks we have for him):http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XV5E9U?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_71

Perfect for our Rats!
My son has two pet rats, and they *love* these! It's important for certain rodent pets to be able to chew on wood and other semi-hard or hard substances, not just to keep their teeth sharp, but also because their teeth continue to grow, and if they don't have something hard to chew on to keep their teeth 'trimmed' (for lack of a better word), their teeth can get too long and cause problems. These fit the bill perfectly!

Hamster likes them
I took a chance on these because the reviews were mixed when it came to hamsters, but my Teddy Bear hamster likes them. I had been looking for something for him to chew on to help him dull his teeth. He will gnaw on it for a day to two and then hide it under his bedding for later. It's a nice treat for him, I'm glad they are working.

reasonable priced
My son's dwarf hamster could care less about these sticks. Just hid them in the corner. And they are still there. Maybe he is saving them for a special occasion. So is it him, or the sticks it's hard to say. At least the price was good.

Not sure yet...
Item was crammed into the shipping box resulting in the adhesive holding the clear plastic view front to pop off. The apple sticks were rolling around. Makes me wonder how old they were, or if they were improperly stored to make the glue weaken. The sticks themselves were very smooth and smaller than I expected. Seemed over-processed for what I was looking to get. The drill holes were convenient and my kabob rod slid thru easily. My rabbit is not a big chewer (though he does like willow) but he hasn't touched these. Whether it's his quirkiness or the quality of the sticks remains to be seen.

I like them, because they have the holes down the center. The reason they didn't get the five stars is because my chinchilla prefers the Willow Critters Pretzel Sticks. He likes to carry them around his condo and snack.
