LOVE this fan!
I really wanted to get a powerful fan for the hot summer nights for our room and this one has been amazing so far. I looked through so many fans and reviews for hours until I finally set on the Taotronics tower fans. I originally purchased the "newer" tower fan from them, but thought something was wrong when it didn't show up on the estimated delivery date. Every time I checked my Amazon orders it read that a UPS label was made for it, but they had no tracking information for the item. So I thought it must have been lost in shipping or something. Anyways I canceled that order and decided to try for this "older" version instead. Turns out the first fan showed up 2 days later and now I'm going to have to return that one, I should have just waited a few more days I guess. Anyways I don't know what the functionality difference is between the "newer" and "older" tower fans by Taotronics, but I personally really like the look of this one having the buttons on top and just seeing the electronic display. I'll go through my pros and cons list, but please note I've only had it for about a week now. If I have any issues down the road, I will update.PROS:*Strong airflow*Nice looking design*Bladeless*Has a remote that comes with the batteries (if you need more they are CR2032 batteries) Also note, there is a place you can store the remote on the back of the tower*Super simple to put together*Has oscillating option as well as 3 wind speeds*Lightweight and easy to transport from room to room* Doesn't take up much space at all and even fits on top of my bedroom nightstand.*Doesn't get knocked over easily*I can still feel the fan across the bed when it's on my husband's sideCONS:*I like loud fans for sleeping, but this one is pretty quiet*Sleep mode and Natural mode intermittently change the fan speed which to me is abrupt and creates a sound change that would bother me if I was sleeping, so I don't use those.*Sleep mode is the only way to turn off the LED display, which may be a problem for some, but the light hasn't bothered me at all when I'm sleeping, even with the fan right next to me.*It is only 36 inches tall and so if your bed is higher up you may have to set it on something in order to feel it, my bed is pretty low to the ground so it hasn't caused an issue for me.*Although it's very nice looking, it's still plastic and can be wobbly on it's base*This one may be silly, but with it's height when I'm sitting near it, It dries out and bothers my eyes. But that's to be expected, it's a fan*Also to be noted per other comments I've seen, it's not a "cooling" fan. That may be a big con if you were expecting it to cool, but it's just a fan with great airflow. So far overall I love this thing, the cons aren't huge cons for me at all. I was mostly looking for one with strong airflow and this one has it. I still use it along side my box fan in my room at night that way I still have the loud noise I like for sleeping. And I honestly thought the remote would be pointless, but I find myself only using it and it's very convenient to have.

Good pick! (Depending on what you're looking for)
My three roommates and I had to come to consensus about the thermostat when we learned we would all be working from home indefinitely. My bedroom is the warmest, and I get hot very easily, so I freaked out when my tower fan broke. So, after browsing through TONS of newer models of tower fans, I selected this one, based on its price and the features included, in addition to so many (well-deserved) good reviews.Pros:- compact, fits in tight spaces (be careful if you want it to oscillate, though!)- loved that it displayed the ambient temperature! (see the display, on "nature" mode, low, attached)- also loved how the display let you know exactly what settings it was on, it's not too bright at nighttime, nor does it emit blue light (qualms I had about other fans in my bedroom, where I keep this one)- good at cooling relatively small spaces/average-sized rooms/nearby persons at a desk (for example)- easy to assemble, and that's saying A LOT, because I don't anything when it comes to assembling so much as a deck of cards- somewhat quieter than my previous fan- very lightweight (for someone like me, who has NO upper body strength)Cons:- personally, I like to sleep with the fan on full blast, and I was SO excited about the "nature" mode, because I have health issues that prevent me from being able to go out safely for the unforeseen future. But it followed a very short, static, pattern, rather than a more "natural," erratic one. I can understand the need for it to be a pattern, but such a short one actually became irritating, and this was one of the main features I was particularly excited to see in a fan in this price range- a slight clicking sound when oscillating at full blast, despite how well-fastened everything was (I had a handy-with-tools check out my work to make sure it wasn't anything I'd done)- I REALLY wish you could buy multiple remotes, because I am ALWAYS losing these, but maybe I can ask the seller about this (and will update the review if anything changes, regarding this point or any of the other ones in this review)All in all, this is a great fan for a room-sized space. (My room is quite small, but I think it would do fine in most bedroom-sized rooms, and it's great if that's what you're buying it for.) I plan to buy another one for the home office I'm still trying to put together in the common area (which is unfortunate, but out of necessity). Or maybe I'll just carry this one back and forth. I'm not sure how well it will work in that much space, though. I'll have to keep it nearby. Bottom line: you get the wonderful variety of features within a much lower price range (versus 150-ish dollars), so I absolutely recommend this one!

Very nice, works add expected and is quiet!
The media could not be loaded. Looking for a slim fan?? This is a really nice one... couple months ago we had issues with our ac unit in our home... it wasn’t cooling in our daughters room and we didn’t have any fans since we’ve always had ac... I wanted something slim I could put in the door way of my daughters room to pull the Ac air in cause it was just her room that wasn’t cooling.. anyway I liked the look of this one the size and the tower idea verse a big round blade that would be in the way.Arrived and I set it up immediately so i could start cooling her room down... it was minimal assembly and set up. It really is slim!!! The quality is nice, it has a glossy finish. I like the LED light up screen on the front that shows us the room temp and as you can see her room is warm ish, it should be 70 ish like the rest of the house. There is about 6 buttons at the top that works the power, speed rotation and more. There is 3 speeds, we keep it at the highest speed. This fan is quiet, not loud, sounds like a normal fan. It’s sturdy and doesn’t wobble, the base sits flush on the wood flooring in her room.Because of the slim design it is out of the way, she can still maneuver around and not bump it. If I did have to change one thing about this I would make the cord longer, it seems short to me but then again it’s the only fan we have so I can’t really compare it to another..So far it’s been good and has very much helped pull cold air in from the living Room to her room... we can’t get an ac tech out get due to the pandemic so this was a quick fix to our problem.. we run it 24/7 non stop and so far have not run into any issues, if that changes for any reason I’ll be sure to update here... hope this helps

Exactly what I hoped for
Overall, this fan works very well and is what I hoped for. I think it was worth the price and would recommend it. The airflow is good, and it's not too loud. The remote is very nice as well. There are a couple very minor cons, that caused me to knock a star off and prevent this from being a perfect fan:1 - the temperature reading is Fahrenheit and can't be switched to Celsius.2 - the auto setting temperatures aren't configurable. There's a set turn-on/turn-off temperature range and if I could configure it, I think I would use that setting exclusively. If the fan ever breaks or anything like that, I'll come back and update my review.

Worth it!
Just got this today and I am already blown away. I've went through many tower fans in my day because I'm the type of person that needs a fan on me at all times. My husband gets mad because he usually likes to sleep in complete silence and my other fan was always so loud. We tested this out and had a nap and both of us are pleased! It was also super easy to assemble which is a bonus amd I love all the different options on it that it offers! Overall I'm so happy with my purchase!

Defective maybe?
The is a tough one as the fan is well built and runs great! Very powerful and having the remote is an awesome touch for changing the settings in bed, however when we turn our fan to the "sleep" mode, the fan instantly starts pulsing from the lowest setting to the highest every few seconds. What sucks is the backlight only dims out on the "sleep" setting so we otherwise have to put a cloth or shirt over the top of the unit to block the lights at night time defeating the purpose of having a "night time fan"The service manual claims the "sleep" setting is supposed to dim the backlight and then drop the fans speed every 30 min until it reaches the lowest setting for the rest of the night. Maybe we just got a defective unit. For a daytime fan, this is great! But for what we bought it for specifically, it doesn't seem to meet our needs.

Great Tower Fan
This is a great tower fan. Compared to other fans I've had It's very quiet and the noise level does not disturb/interfere with sleep. I like the remote control - who wouldn't - it's very practical. The unit will blow at 3 different speeds (nothing to get excited here as all/most fans deliver this - but it will be much more quiet). It has 3 different cooling modes (Normal, Natural, Sleep). Normal just constantly blows away at the selected speed. I'm partial to the Natural setting which sort of imitates an outdoor environment where the wind flow fluctuates - is not constant (cool feature - no pun intended). It's also got a Sleep mode. The unit will blow air with a wide & smooth oscillating motion - another cool feature. On a really hot day I'll place a small bucket of ice in front of the unit - sort of imitates the fresh air of an air conditioner.Having said all that I definitely recommend this unit to anyone who's looking for a tower fan.

Good but makes clicking noise
I personally disregarded the few reviews that said it makes a slight clicking noise and I regret that. I think it has a good air flow and noise level but I use the fan to sleep and when it makes the clicking noise, I can't fall asleep. Can't return it because I threw out the box so I am hoping the company can do something for me as it was expensive.
