Third Millennium Bible: New Authorized Version

A very accurate and precise updating of the old and venerable King James (Authorized) Version
I first bought The Third Millennium Bible right before the turn of the century. It is beautifully constructed, nicely formated and laid out, and a very accurate and precise updating of the old King James Version of the Bible. I especially appreciate that that the TMB has the apocrypha/deutrocanonical books and that they are in between the two testaments. The TMB definitely clarified and updated the many out dated and obscure words that makes the old KJV text much more understandable and usable. All in all a wonderful edition of the old KJV for personal devotion, biblical study and public liturgical use. Get a copy you will not be disappointed but greatly blessed.

Understandable and Beautiful Expression
This version is an update of the 1611 Authorized Version. Readers who grew up reading the Authorized Version and delighted in its beauty of expression will feel at home with the Third Millennium Bible. It retains the beauty of expression of the Authorized Version, yet is expressed in a way that the meaning is understandable today. One thing that is disappointing in the recent translations of the Bible is the loss of the beauty of expression found in the Authorized Version. This shortcoming was corrected in the Third Millennium Bible. Additionally, it contains the Deuterocanonical Books that have been left out of most of the modern translations. This version is very valuable for the serious Bible student who desires to know what the church viewed as the canon of scripture prior to the reformers and the rise of the protestants. I think many will be surprised at what was deleted by more recent so-called biblical scholars who decided they knew better about what should be viewed as scripture. I gave only 4 stars because I wish it had been printed in two columns per page instead of one. I find it easier to track with the shorter lines of the two column page. However, this does not detract from the value..

I love this Bible
I love this Bible. Very well put together, I love the translation. So very much more readable. A updated King James Version. I like it been in a single column. Can't say enough good things about this Bible.

Beautiful Bible
The best version of the King James yet. Retains all the flavor of the KJV without all the archaic language that is hard to understand and to read. I would love to se a parallel with this version, the Revised English Bible, the New Living Translation and a good paraphrase version.

I love this Bible
As a Catholic Christian with Byzantium sympathies, I love this Bible. This is the Bible I wanted since the early eighties when I experienced the revival of my baptismal vows. This sounds like Divine Scripture should sound. I would have used standardized usage for the -doth, -dost, -eth type endings, but that is insignificant. This is truly a translation of the Sacred Scriptures that leads one to worship our God--the Holy, Immortal Trinity--and to worship, praise and honor our most holy Lord Jesus and the Holy Ghost. This Bible's language inflames my soul to worship, praise, confess and commune with God. "May we all become partakers of the Divine Nature."

Preserves the majesty and doctrinal clarity of the Textus Receptus for a new generation of readers!
Preserves the primacy of the Textus Receptus for a new generation of readers. I can't say enough about what a blessing this version of the Scriptures is. The clarity and majesty of the King James Version is intact. All they have done is change the archaic words to their direct synonyms in modern usage. Truly a gem!

I like It!
I love the King James Version but found on a couple of occasions more so reading the Old Testament that I was getting the wrong meaning because of some archaic words. This still has the beauty of the King James in my opinion and my comprehension is much better because of the updating.Well done.
