STANLEY 66-039 Precision Screwdriver Set (6-Pieces)

A trouble saver, I had ordered SSD and thought of replacing all by myself. Initially I tried opening dell laptop screws using cheap screw driver set (32 in 1 of yellow color), i ended up damaging the screw's grip along with screw drivers, and as the service station is at other end of the Pune, thought of giving try with better quality of screw drivers, and it worked..:-)...Lesson learned: While assembling, never tight screws and use quality screw driver..

Everything is good about these screwdrivers except one:With these screwdrivers I was not able to open a stubborn screw on my laptop's heat-sink. Usually for stubborn screws you try different palm positions to hold the screwdriver so as to apply more force. However since these screwdrivers are slim and slippery, I was not able to exert a good amount of force on the screw. I felt the need to have a better grip on the screwdriver shaft. There is another Stanley screwdriver set where the screwdriver body consists of bulging plastic (bowling pin shape) in yellow color. Just check if you like that one !

its a good product otherwise but due to its very thin body you can't get a good hold and unscrew very tight screws. So for delicate and not very tight screws it will work, but if you want to unscrew something like a hard disk, which I did ,it will be very tough to work with. People can buy it but alas did not serve my purpose that well. End of rant.

The precision screwdriver set is ok. I wouldn't say it's the best out in the market, esp when you're paying over 200 rupees, there are other brands that are used by ppl who work in optician stores and laptop repair stores that use local brands which cost around 150-200 for the set too. Stanley products are good, but the Made in China logo doesn't make it any better. I used the screwdriver on my prescription glasses and they worked smooth. If the screws are tight, it might require effort but still it's pretty much just ok. My product import date was of 2016. So they do have it all stocked up in the warehouses and stalling. Anyway, got it at 209

I ordered these screwdrivers to fix my old watches and a hard drive, to which it came to my expectations. Highly recommend for it. This is the best precision screwdriver set in the market i have ever found.Pros:Sturdy and handy.As the metal is heavy, it balances grip and precision.Black needle like structure is its beauty and makes it attractive.Moving metallic cap on the top gives clasp support while screwing.Sharp and solid black drivers are the best in market for precision and durability.Cons:Poor screwdriver plastic case. They should have provided a solid box as the drivers are heavy. The box lock is very thin, chances of losing and falling screwdrivers are pretty high, recommend to buy a separate box for it. The box already got broken in just three days after the purchase while carrying in my bag.

I received this in a good condition and it was nicely wrapped.I saw the screws and they were all with different size and shapes. Particularly one screwdriver that is enough to fit in a PC case or while removing a Sony PS3 Internal 2.5 HDD. It worked flawlessly.I had purchased this exactly for that purpose. If you think you open your PC cabinet to install some hardware cards in the PCI express slot or other like sound,graphic or 25 pin parallel port! Or despite this if u own a Sony PS3 system or even a PS4, then u definitely need to have this set of screwdrivers.I think this too was Made in China, but believe me, it didn't look cheap and worthless. It had substantial weight to it and red color of the box was vibrant. It was a quality product.Only one thing was missing, the tip of the screwdriver wasn't magnetized to attract the screws, which becomes very easy when u r in the process of screwing the pins.Besides this, its a value for money. I purchased three more such screws that came in different cases. Yeah!I purchased at least 4 different sets of screwdrivers. Because i liked it.Except for one brand that purposely gave me an old set of screwdrivers for which i had given a bitter and bad review. That was cheap too, almost exactly like this Stanley 66-039 Precision Screwdriver Set, but worst when u see with your eyes.This one is a good one, i really think u should own one set. Again if u open PC or want to replace 2.5 Inch PS3-4 HDD. This tool will come in handy.

Product completely serves the purpose it is intended for. If you are opening a Laptop then it's the essential and must have tool kit. Comes with a neat red plastic case and transparent cover. Quality is excellent considering the nominal price you pay. Amazon delivery as always 5 stars!! The highlight are the Phillips 0, 1 pieces. With these two you can unscrew those tiny not so common Phillips Is Not a Phillips kind of screws you would find on laptops/HDDs/Tablets/Mobiles etc. I was struggling with a single frearson type tiny screw on a Thoshiba laptop display and with this set in hand it was a piece of cake !!

I bought this to change the fan in my laptop and it worked fine.When you receive the screwdrivers clean the packing oil with methalated spirit or something similar so that they don't slip in your hand. Clean the box also. There are a few different kinds of star head screws. Make sure the screwdriver is compatible or you will damage the screw or the screwdriver. Slotted screwdrivers must also precisely fit the slot in the screw head, especially miniature screwdrivers like these. If everything is compatible and a small effort fails to loosen the screw put a drop off WD40 on it and try again after an hour or so. This screwdriver design has been around for a long time and is meant for light work. If they don't work for you then they are the wrong tool for the job. And a bad carpenter always blames his tools.

I serious had no idea you could make something this rubbish, so cheap and flimsy I doubt they would take the skin of some custard. Just plastic Chinese rubbish that will last less time then my daughter paying attention to anything I tell her... utter crap

Bought to take apart my PS4. Realised I didn’t need them as I have the PS4 pro (which has no screws) I’ll keep them as they will be hand in the future. Come nicely packaged and have a nice box so they don’t get lost

Great item to have handy ! What can be wrong with them ?

Don't know what I expected for a fiver.... The tip turned over and the coating scraped off almost immediately on first use of the smallest phillips head. Would not recommend. Good jewellers screwdrivers cost what they do for a reason.
