I have a MeFOTO Tripod, and I was having problems with these release plates staying in place on my Tamron 150-600mm lens. So, my husband used LocTite and permantely attached the plate to the lens. Solved that problem, but now I can only use the tripod with that lens! I contacted the manufacturer to get a new release plate. They quoted me $25 for 1. I decided to try these first, and glad I did! These are even better quality than the one that came on the MeFoto tripod!

These plates are a different size than the "standard" plates, but fit snugly and grip the lenses on the tripods that take this size.

Great piece for your camera, i used on my sony and canon, also on the 70-200lens for connecting to a tripod.

They arrived quickly and fit my tripod quick release head perfectly. As well built as the original.

Attaches easily and holds the camera to the tripod. Be advised: even though there are various colors attributed to the attachments, all are black. I bet the colors reflect the color of the tripod not the attachment. If you want colors that match the tripod you need to go to the MeFOTO site and get ONE for $19 as of Feb. '19. For myself, I'm happy having any color reasonably priced replacements on hand since they are small enough to misplace occasionally and I don't have to give up a photo session for lack of equipment.

In mid 2020 these came with a D-ring screw that lets them be tightened with fingers, and there is also a slot to tighten with a coin. Allen wrenches to remove the retention screws if desired. They fit my MeFoto Backpacker S tripod and from their shape should fit into any A-S style clamp of the right jaws width. Exactly what I needed and expected.

This plate is unique, as far as I know, to the MeFoto tripods. I bought this as a backup in the worse case scenario of loss or something else. But I just don't like the idea of a tripod manufacturer designing a new plate. I wish there was a universal plate. This is similar to digital cameras, almost all of them have different batteries, which means different chargers. But this is something we will have to live with. Glad the plates came before a big trip.
