Dash is a New Fooder!: A book for children who are resistant to trying new foods. (Dash Learns Life Skills) Paperback – December 3, 2019

I was compelled to buy this book because my toddler has a stuffed dog named Dash, and she loves to read, and her dad is picky about food, so I thought this would be a great book for us. It was not. The text is really poor - boring, uninspired and unsophisticated. The illustrations are nothing special. And the message is really clunky and awkward. There are so many amazing children’s books on the market…save your money for those.

This series starring Dash has been a godsend for us. We used her other books for help when our daughter was not going to the bathroom on purpose and figured we'd give this a try as well. "Don't be a no new fooder Dash" is all we have to say to our toddler daughter and it does work to get her to at least try a bite of something that before she would violently oppose. She actively asks for the book to be read to her and loved to see Dash's grandmother who appears in this book. We are very happy to have found the author and to have found these books. The books are printed and bound in the USA too which makes me very happy to see.
