App no longer available or supported
The eliptical was gorgeous but the app was no longer available on Playstore or iPad. So I could not synchronize the bluetooth scale to the eliptical or use any of the customized workouts, as advertised.

sturdy machine. My wife and I have been using ...
Unfortunately I need to downgrade my initial review. It has been a couple of years since I bought the Miami on December 24, 2014. I was using it primarily when the weather is very cold outside. So heavy usage only about 3-4 months per year. The foot pedal springs have broken twice in about 6-8 months of use. The first time it happened, Yowza replace the broken springs promptly. They broke again this year on Jan30th. I called Yowza and they ordered replacements that day. Now it is March 17th and customer service is not answering my calls or messages. Please be very careful purchasing any Yowza product. They are unresponsive to all forms of contact. There staff seems to be leaving. They are running deep discounts on the website. I also ran across another review on the same machine with the same problem with the pedal springs. That review also mentioned that Yowza told them they were on back order.A well built, sturdy machine. My wife and I have been using it now almost every day for 3 months as part of our new years diet and exercise goals. It is definitely working for us. My wife uses it mostly in manual mode. I like to use the built in routines along with the livelight apps. Here are my main complaints. They are mostly just annoyances but buyers should be aware of them.- the machine comes with a supplied heart beat monitor chest strap. A Polar T34. It has to warm up 3-5 minutes on your chest before it starts transmitting to the machine. But a bigger problem is when you turn on the machines fan, it blows into the chest area where the strap is. Even at the fan's lowest speed, with the strap under a T-shirt, it cools down the T34 enough to where it stops transmitting. Yowza support was easy to work with, thought a little disorganized. They sent a replacement strap. Another T34. It had the same problem. I gave up and now I just use the fan.- The permanent heart rate hand grips are erratic.- The machine supports multiple users. Up to 10 I think. Each user is supposed to enter some basic profile info: gender, age, weight. But the documentation never mentions how the user info is used. When my wife gets on, it never asks which user she is. So how is the machine calculating caleries if it doesn't know how much she weighs. When I get on the machine, I always come in through the livelight weight app and eliptical app. I step on the scale and this gets uploaded to the app on my phone and to the machine, I believe. But again, this isn't documented well anwhere that I have found.- I have been on several elliptical machines in the gyms. I have never been on a machine where the clearance between the trunk of your body and the fixed handle bars is as tight as it is on this machine. Some people with larger chest areas will find them selves bumping into the handle as they work out. The solution is to add some incline, which pushes you back a bit.- A big selling point of the machine is there integration with the livelight apps. These apps have even worse documentation. But they do work for the most part. But they have quirks and they haven't come out with updates for more than a year. One quirk, for example, is if you go directly to the livelight weight app, you always have to change the unit in the app from Kg to Lbs, if Lbs is what you want. It works fine, however if you go to the weight app through the mylivelight app. I also have the livelight eliptical app integrated into the mylivelight app. My understanding is that it is supposed to generate work out routines based on your history and progress. But I have not idea how this is supposed to work and I haven't seen it happen. It pretty much just give me the same work out routine of about 22.4 minutes every day.Otherwise, the machine works well and I would recommend it. It took a couple of hours to put the machine together after it arrived. Shipping was prompt and arrived on time. It was a beast getting it up the stairs to the second floor. I called and exchanged e-mails with customer support several times about the above items. Support was good. I always got the same guy. But he never really answered my question about how the calorie calculator worked. Which I thought was relevant given the multi-user support question I had. Otherwise, I wouldn't be surprised if there is no great accuracy in the calorie calculation for any of these gym machines. It will vary from one manufacturer to another and it is just a relative number that the user can use from day to day.

Yowza machine is smooth, flexible and comfortable
Miami Elliptical machine is fantastic. Freight shipping company used by Amazon is subpar. Received two damage shipments by this shipping company. First was refused with obvious external damage (punctured by fork lift), driver was apologetic. 2nd shipment appeared okay but once opened it was clear the box was jostled back and forth beyond its limits. All the large form fit foam inside was broken in half and the covers for the rear flywheel were cracked by undue pressure on the top or sides of the box. The shipping box could be thicker, rigid and the foam packing is standard density that needs gentle handling (e.g., like older TVs with glass tubes - even with the foam, you still can't drop the TV and expect the tube to not shatter). There are issues with the tablet based software (myLiveLight.com) and its account registration process that have not been resolved (can't register/login) so I can't use any of the myLiveLight software on an iPad. Recommend using a high quality UPS to condition the electrical power for the machine's (sensitive) electronics / user console to reduce the electrical noise that comes through in the sound / audio speaker system. Quick start assembly instructions look fine but are not quite right / complete or detailed. With the parts list / figures in the manual however, all can be assembled perfectly (very difficult to tell where some screws go). Assembling the plastic parts / covers is not well aligned (screw holes to the inner frame) but all the steel to steel joints / bolts / connections are precision made and industrial quality fit / finish. Electronically adjustable resistance and elevation are so effortless to use in manual mode and automatic when using a built in Program Mode (e.g., heart rate control mode to auto increase resistance and elevation to keep you at the target heart rate). Not sure the resistance levels and elevations are enough to build strength (apart from the legs) but certainly good for general cardio fitness given you push yourself and / or workout long enough. If you need to build muscles then don't get an elliptical to build strength in the core. Rating would be 5 stars if Amazon used a freight shipper that doesn't abuse it during shipping, everything else with the Amazon purchase is great. Lastly, Yowza warranty service for resolving the shipping damage was 5 Star as well.

So far okay
I've had this over a month. So far I'm giving it 3 stars overall, will update this review again later, and add some pics and video. In some areas, it's a 4 or 5 and others its a 1 or 2. The console is pretty bad. For example, the distance display is not very helpful. It only shows one digit after the decimal place (0.1 rather than 0.13 miles), making it more difficult to judge your pace, etc. I've never seen a machine show distance so poorly. For some reason, the incline skips 35%, which is annoying (goes in increments of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60). In general, it's very quite, but the parts are a bit cheap and sometimes make noise (seems like there is still tiny particles of Styrofoam stuck somewhere from the shipping). The machine does not have a good process for determining how fast you're going (it's off by about 50%, thinks i'm going 3 mph rather than 6 mph). The resistance at baseline is too arduous. Customer service said that I need to open the machine to move where a magnet or some other part is in relation to another part, but I am too nervous it will make the situation worse. Due to these issues, the programs are totally useless, i just use Manual. The myLiveLight does not work and is a total joke.I had the white glove assembly, but they had no experience setting up an elliptical, let alone a Yowza elliptical, so they couldn't figure out how to correct the resistance or anything like that.
