All seems good
Installed it on a Windows 7 64 bit pc. The box has a sticker right on the front saying it's windows 10 compatible but I don't know about that. I'll have to see how my laptop does with it. I bought this for looping. I use reaper and sound forge for all things audio but I've used acid 6 and Vegas in the past and liked them so I grabbed this. The installation of everything was time consuming. It wasn't until I read the manuals for garritan aria, izotope, and the drum kit software that I got things fully registered. Just dumping in the codes during installation isn't enough. I also had to manually scan within acid for aria to be brought in, as well as izotope and the drum kit. It helps to know how to deal with audio software to get everything in place and enabled. With all that, I haven't even used the software yet. There's a ton of loops in the acid library which is great. I've used garritan before and there looks to be a good orchestra sample selection although it may not be as extensive as the stand alone personal orchestra version. The drum kit software seems good. This is a pretty feature rich offering for a 100 bucks. It's just more tools in the tool box for me. Read the pdf manuals on the content disc to help guide you through installing and registering everything.

If you don't mind wasting your time and going through pages of useless instructions this is for you
Cant use it after trying to get is to run on my computer. Unable to contact the manufacturer located in Germany. They do not provide any phone help. Can only contact them by email. Had Microsoft help in downloading the software (after I tried 6 times) which they did. Acid software will not accept the serial No. of the product. If you don't mind wasting your time and going through pages of useless instructions this is for you. Also, this product is non refundable. Good Luck. There are far better products on the market with people available to help by phone.

Great product
I got this to go with my new MPKmini from Akai. At first I was having trouble getting sound being new to this... I forgot to turn on the ACID 7, which I recommend greatly with the MPKmini...sooooo many extras with Acid.Even at first I got no sound and started watching youtube videos and searching forums, nothing. I learned a lot about the MPKmini and suggest everyone new to these do the same. But when I would hit the keys nothing. I had everything configured correctly as I found on a forum on the Akai website. Loaded presets downloaded from Akais website. Still no sound. I was frustrated and I turned off the MPKmini editor, hit the keys on the virtual keyboard (that pops up after you load the MPKmini into Acid 7 for Input and Output) and then hit the keys on the MPKmini and whalah, sound to my ears. It has been nothing but fun since. I read a lot of reviews that Acid 7 is to complicated for beginners but i find it perfect for the MPKmini and not so hard to pick up either just playing with it. You can also download it here from Amazon without having to go to the store or wait 5 days to get it in the mail.

Underrated Software
I've used ACID software since the late 90's starting from 1.0. This software is extremely useful when rewired along side other programs such as reason 7. the amount of filters and fx in this have always made me expect more from other software that charges for those additions. The beatmapper has always worked top notch and helps alot with chopping samples and prepping for use in external controllers and triggering devices etc.

Same problem that others seem to be having here. This product won't install. Not pleased. It tells me my trial has ended and to enter the serial number, which I enter, and it tells me that it needs to restart, then the whole thing starts all over again. a loop of two windows. I want my money back.

I had to get this because I couldn't get my ACID Pro 6 registered with Magix (very long story)!It crashes WAY more than 6.0 ever did but it'll have to do.

Superb
This is the only software to consider in this price range (100-150$)If you are a musician looking to start formulating ideas, look no further. This has EVERYTHING you need and a great price.This software is perfect for hobbyist audio engineers or professional musicians looking for a canvas to formulate ideas. This software is not quite powerful enough for high quality production and it is not designed to compete with high level software such as Pro Tools or Logic. With this in mind, this software does exactly what it is designed for (creative outlet for song creation) and is why it received 5 starts.

Love it!
I really enjoy putting music tracks together using Acid Pro 7.It's really easy to use and very intuitive...fades, crossfades, splitting, moving etc are a breeze and adding a loop /track is simply drag and drop...making creating on the run very easy.It comes with a lot of efx but you can add VST, freeware and efx from other venders that will give tracks a polished sound.I use Acid to create mostly loop based music and this version includes 3,000 .wav loops...some not so good...but many, many are really interesting and usable...and you can purchased other on-line loop libraries from Amazon and other on-line suppliers.I've built really long loop music tracks and the software runs just fine on my Windows 7PC with 16 GB of RAM and an i5 CPU. For example, my last project was a music bed for a video and clocked in at 8:32 minutes and had 385 tracks...and everything ran just fine!!
