Lots of feel-good moments made this a good one for me.
From fake fiancee to true love.Victoria had experienced her fair share of disappointments and was left feeling less-than when her boyfriend cast her aside due to her infertility. When a handsome billionaire asks her to pose as his fiancee, Victoria agrees, knowing there would be no strings and a definite end date in sight. But as Victoria and Oliver spend time together, they start to see how special the other is.These two were wonderful together. I loved how Oliver encouraged Victoria with her design aspirations, while Victoria was a source of support for Oliver as he struggled with an ill parent and his familial obligations. Lots of feel-good moments made this a good one for me.

Great Holiday Read
I really enjoyed this book. I liked watching the characters develop as the book progressed, especially Oliver and his family. A great addition to the holiday book list, 4 stars.

Enjoyable read and well written
This was an enjoyable read. Predictable in a good way, with a bit of grit and potential for a follow up. I’d recommend it

Ableist Garbage
I got halfway through the book where the main character talks about the tragic accident her and her friends experienced that left her friend disabled. She uses words like broken and she was beautiful. This isn't okay. You can tell that the writer did not do any research on people with disabilities and just used them as character development for the main character.

Great book
This book is so good! Completely different than the other books I read. This particular story does start off slow but the character development is great. The writer definitely makes you want to hate two characters and root for the MC. It's not steamy or spicy, the longing and chemistry between the two MC is off the charts. It's a whirlwind romance and I definitely recommend it as a holiday read.

Lovable
This book was adorable but had good depth to it too.The characters are very lovable and I really enjoyed the storyline and the fashion talk.Oliver meets Victoria randomly but feels something for her instantly. He thinks she’s the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen.A few days later, they run into each other again and have a chance to really talk and get to know each other.Victoria is a fashion designer. She works in a wine bar to support her fashion dreams. In her spare time she mentors a group of teenagers and teaches them design. She’s definitely a special person. She’s also leery to be in a relationship because her most recent relationship ended very badly.Oliver and his family own a very successful line of department stores. They are in the process of getting their newest one ready to open. Oliver’s dad is stepping down after some health issues and expects Oliver to step up and take over. And Oliver’s mother just desperately wants Oliver to meet the right woman and settle down. This has taken on some urgency lately with Oliver’s father being sick. But Oliver has always been so busy he’s never even taken the time to try to meet the right woman. He knows that his grandparents had the most enviable marriage. Oliver isn’t in a rush, when he finds the right woman he wants 50 plus years with her. When Oliver and Victoria meet, they try to help each other. Oliver offers to let Victoria’s students host a fashion show at his department store, on opening day, no strings attached. But he does ask for a favor. It would be a huge help for him if Victoria pretended to be his fiancée around his parents for a while. She agrees to help. But they quickly start falling for each other. And poor Victoria believes she is unworthy of his love after what her ex put her through.I thought this was a sweet and beautiful story.I didn’t realize until I was almost done that this book is from a series. I haven’t even looked into the descriptions of the other books yet, I just saved them as “want to read”. I can tell you that this book absolutely works as a stand alone. If you find this book and then find out it’s maybe not the first with some of the characters, do not let it stop you from reading this. This book works beautifully even with no other knowledge of the other characters (I imagine that the other books are about Victoria’s best friends rather than her).I got to read an early ebook edition from NetGalley, I really enjoyed it and I’d definitely recommend it.

Kritters Ramblings
Check out the full review at Kritters RamblingsAnother holiday romance that was great to get me in the holiday spirit. Victoria Scott is working in a bar, but this isn't the career she dreams of for the long term. Victoria wants to be a clothing designer, but that isn't paying any bills at the moment. An encounter at the bar she works at and then a literal run in on the streets, she meets Oliver Russell who is the heir to a large store brand who is opening a new store in her neighbor - ala You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks.

Next Level Romance!
Georgia Toffolo has really hit the nail on the head with this ‘peng’ feel-good romance novel. It is Next Level. Not only has it got the pretend-but gets a bit steamy- love story of Oliver and Victoria, it touches on difficult subjects such as illness, depression, guilt and a huge one that I am so pleased to see delicately handled INFERTILITY. 👏🏻I couldn’t put this book down, it was so beautifully written, a brilliant story and lovable characters (aside from Andrew). I can totally see why this is a Sunday Times Top 20 Bestseller. Oliver is an absolute dreamboat, And the Lost Hours girls are what you want from your girl gang!I cannot wait to read Meet me in Hawaii (which I am so fortunate to have an ARC paperback of) and of course, the further 2 books in this series!I definitely recommend this book! My only regret is waiting so long to read this book.

Fabulous friendships and a love story, what more could you want?
This was a perfect book for curling up with a glass of wine with (Or hot chocolate in the morning) celebrating a lovely friendship and a romance.Even though the girls are miles apart (similar to friends and loved ones feeling separated throughout this weird year) their friendship holds strong & it's lovely to read about a group of women holding each other up & enriching each others lives. The love story is a little like you've got mail and other such great romances but the characters are what make this so enjoyable, I was totally invested in the outcome& I can't wait until the next story is available!I would highly recommend this novel xx

Dreadful
I bought this as it was £2 and I had seen good reviews from a book club I am in. It took me three attempts to get further than the 4th page. There is no natural flow to the story, it’s very clunky and disjointed. Information is thrown at you instead of incorporated into the story. The dialogue between characters has no natural feel. It reads as though it is a year 7’s first go at creative writing in high school. I have never not finished a book before so I have had to skim read it and I couldn’t put myself through reading it thoroughly. It feels like a punishment before I get to any more good books. I read a lot of chick lit and Rom coms so don’t get me wrong I’m all here for cliches if they’re written well. But this was just cliche after cliche after cliche. Nearly bought this and meet me in Hawaii together at the same time, so glad I didn’t. Plus the whole book reduces a woman’s worth down to her reproductive system. This will be taken straight to the charity shop

Cliche chick-lit
Wealthy store owner meets struggling designer, asks her to pretend to be his fiance for the opening of his new store. He's not into marriage or relationships, she has a secret that she thinks will put any prospective partner off. Yawn, yawn. Such a cliche 'plot', I didn't even finish this book.

Lovely and heartwarming!
What a lovely book this was to read! 🥰 finished this last night and it was definitely a warm and romantic festive read! Although the chapters were long and I kind of knew what the outcome would be - I loved everything about it. I don’t know about anyone else, but I also like to read a book that is set in a place you have visited and enjoyed? I’ve only ever been to London once and I absolutely loved it!Very likeable characters! I absolutely loved the friendship Victoria had with her friends, after such a traumatic accident that they had, they were so close despite them living a distance from each other. Making sure they’d have video calls to stay in touch. I loved that!____Victoria and Oliver - two very different people.Victoria working in a bar and using her spare time to design clothes and hoping her dream would come true to open her own boutique.Oliver owning a department store in London, a rich man. Has everything.... and has a proposition for Victoria... pretend to be his girlfriend at the opening of the store and he would provide the opportunity for her to show her designs...The relationship and engagement being a “deal” for his parents, they kept denying how they really felt, telling each other nothing was there. I loved how close they grew together. It all became very real! The romantic things he did for her. Such a beautiful and heartwarming book! This really cheered me up, Christmas this year isn’t like we usually have. So to be reading a good chunk of this book yesterday and finish it was an extra uplift to the day.I can’t wait for the next book to be released in March!5 stars from me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
