Secret Venice ('Secret' guides)

I seek out the "off-the-beaten-path-type experiences" in my travels. In a city as visited and explored as Venice, I was concerned that this might be difficult. This book, however, opened up my research beyond the typical points of interest and provided brief history and other background information, such as legends, to make the sights more meaningful. This is not your typical guidebook, which is exactly what I wanted.

Book is great, filled with useful info, highly recommend it.

I love Venice and have visited many times. I thought I’d seen it all but looking forward to our next trip and hunting out the secret gems in this book. A whole new layer of interest.
