an easy well explained book
If you’re new to writing on services, this is the book for you. I bought four of them so far and each one has some thing I really like about it but this one really laid out directions well and if I hadn’t got this first, I’m not sure I would have got any of the other books. Well done! Also, I had originally got this from the library and liked it and when I got the Kindle version, I wasn’t sure it was going to be good. But rest assured, the Kindle version is great with lots of photos

good for beginnings and those looking for project ideas
This is a good guide for beginners to get started with hand-lettering. It also gives some nice ideas for those looking for project ideas for their hand-lettering skills. It provides nice step-by-step instructions for many cool projects using one hand-lettering font included at the beginning of the book. It's quite nice that only one font is shown to make for less challenging but still nicely finished projects. The photos are great and I really like the idea of the wrapping paper, envelopes & card, and display projects. I also really like the instructions for getting started at the front of the book, with simple instructions for one hand-lettering font, and a short list of the best tools to use. I find that DIY books can be overwhelming with the list of tools and supplies to you need in order to start, but this book keeps it very simple and straightforward without compromising on quality of skills acquired or projects you can complete. I will definitely be trying out some of these skills/projects once I get a brush pen.Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Get Inspired with Your Hand Lettering
While I don't know if I would say that all these hand-lettering projects are super simple (as stated in the title), the author has collected an interesting set of the things you can do with your hand lettering skills. There are 15 projects in total, though at the end of each one, she gives you multiple ideas where you can use the basic concepts of the project in different ways. The book starts with a brief refresher on how to hand letter and the different tools to use. This author does have another book on just how to hand letter, so not much detail is given; she even refers you to that book in this basics section. Each project has multiple photographs to help you master each step. Different surfaces are hand lettered in these projects, including fabric, pumpkins (real or fake), plaster, and wood. Projects include fun things like hand lettering on a jacket, a cutting board, and Christmas ornaments. If you're already into hand lettering, this book will likely inspire you.I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Appealing and accessible tutorials for hand lettered projects
Super Simple Hand-Lettering Projects is a tutorial and style guide for hand lettering crafts by Kiley Bennett. Released 12th May 2020 by Fox Chapel, it's 128 pages and available in paperback and ebook formats.I enjoyed this short book. The pictures are all very clear and colorful, the projects are clean and appealing, and the text is upbeat and encouraging. The color thumbnail gallery/table of contents is followed by a very short introduction to lettering and calligraphy techniques. The bulk of the book is taken up by the 15 (by my count) projects. The projects themselves are varied and attractive, from a personalized serving tray to gift tags, chalkboard projects, ornaments, cupcake toppers, and more. Most all of the projects could certainly be easily adapted to other surfaces. All of the templates are included. Each tutorial contains an introduction, materials list (nothing too exotic or difficult to source), and step by step photo tutorials from start to finish. Tips and alternative finishes are included in the tutorials in highlighted sidebars. The book also includes a short index. This would make a nice addition to the home crafter's library, bullet journal enthusiast, beginning calligrapher, and similar papercrafting enthusiasts. Four stars.Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

Awesome guide to fun DIY lettering projects
Super Simple Hand Lettering Projects by Kiley Bennett is a beautiful book that has "Techniques and Craft Projects Using Hand Lettering" to personalize items around your home or for special occasions. There is a brief section in the book about the actual lettering techniques, but this book is meant to give ideas for projects to showcase the hand lettering skills you have rather than teach the fundamentals.I love the layout of the book, the fun ideas Bennett has presented, and the step by step guide to make each project turn out wonderfully! Many thanks to Netgalley and Fox Chapel Publishing for the advance copy.

Lettering Projects
Super Simple Hand Lettering by Kiley Bennett is inspirational in the way of inspiring 15 projects. I did not find it so much a book that teaches hand lettering. It does however have a few pages to refresh what I already know. Some of my favorite projects were the writing on glass and adding words to a denim jacket. I also thought the wrap that goes around flowers to be just a simple yet powerful addition to an already longed for gift.I received an ARC digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Random projects with no progression for beginners
I liked the look of this book, but wouldn't recommend it to people just starting off with lettering projects. It doesn't follow a progression from easy to hard (in fact it notes that painting, the first project, is not easy). It's a book I would check out from the library for some cute ideas but wouldn't buy to keep.I was provided a copy of this e-book for review from Net Galley.
