Minka-Aire Wall Control System - White - WC210

Our house came with minka fans installed. There is a regular wall switch that will cut power to the fan completely. But changing fan speeds or lighting requires a remote. The remotes were mounted next to the switch in each room - but you know what happens to remotes. They'd get misplaced, knocked off the wall, broken, batteries died etc. especially in the kids room. Even if you really use the remote feature, you really want this installed as the switch so you ALWAYS control the fan besides just turning the power on and off (which you can also do with this switch). Same as installing a replacement wall switch - not difficult if you have some minimal DIY skills. Do shut off the electricity at the breaker before you start taking things apart. The WC210 is for fans that use 4 dip switches to set the code. You can look under the battery cover of the remote for the number of switches.

I installed these as an update to my house. When I bought the my house the previous owner had installed minka fans in every room but the wall remotes were finiky and getting hard to work. I ordered all replacements, they were a quick swap out and have worked great since

Even though this didn't work for me, I still believe the product deserves a good review. Ours didn't work because a technician at Minka-Aire gave us the wrong information when deciding what to buy. That being said, as I installed it, I found the wall plate and switch was well made, the instructions were clear on how to install, and I had no problems returning for a full refund.

Decent product, bought to replace same wall control unit. Previous unit lasted a few years before shorting out. As others have said, these little buggers are temperamental. Make sure the wires are well insulated and cleared or you WILL short this out.

Very happy to find this, after on-line chat with Minka-Aire rep who advised of correct replacement part number, and it works great. Our initial control barely worked (was worn out), and rep helped me determine which part we needed/wasn't working, although we'd replaced the receiver part before (in the actual light/fan fixture) a few years back.

My son moved into a new place and the wall switches were all a mess . Half pulled out of the wall, half crushed and buttons broken. I found the exact replacements on Amazon and kept my fingers crossed.Well the wall switches arrived and they were a slightly improved version of the broken ones. In all honesty I did not install them for him. An electrician friend of ours re redid all his switches. He told me the switches as far as wiring goes were exact matches and were not difficult to install.If you need replacement switches don't hesitate to purchase these as they will work with the proper Minks Aire compatible system.

This model is for the older fans. To find out if it would work for me I dug around for the remote control, took off the battery cover and noted that there are 4 dip switches (small block with some white switches on it) if you have 4 of them you "should" be able to use this. I was able to at least.The led on the switch really isn't that bright to me but others found ways to modify. I suppose if it bothered you you could do that.I have had this fan for 4 years and bought this controller only a few months ago. I wish I would have bought it week one. I really despise walking around in the dark looking for the fan switch or trying to make it to a lamp while breaking my toe on stuff my kids left on the floor.Now I can turn on the light before coming in the room. Happy toes.My only complaint is that the control really is tiny for my man fingers, I would have preferred a switch but ill deal :)

No more lost remotes! Works great easy to program. You need some basic skills to install. Buying a second one for my other fan.
