Game play is same, just the packaging.

Q: What's the difference between a Pente board and a Go board?

None really. The ‘board’ contained in this game is a roll-able mat with 1” squares emblazoned upon it. A Go board is solid wood with 1” squares on it. They would be interchangeable as near i can tell.
