Metal is too soft for a scraper and the edge easily bends /rolls.I guess they would be okay for light paint scraping

They are sharp and I was able to peel off old linoleum very easily, but dull fast. I went through the whole package just in the kitchen alone. The end which is inserted into the machine would break quickly, or the holes would widen and then wouldn't sit correctly in the device. I had to use a washer to hold it in place.

Great to have extras on hand to finish a job or get a small job out of the way.

These blades are a fantastic deal. They're well made, and last about as long as similar ones that came with my Porter Cable kit. From about $1 a blade, you're not going to match this price point.
