TIP: I was concerned some people reported the clock as not being silent but I am happy to say it is indeed and is ideal for kids bedrooms.I bought this as I had become frustrated with my nine year old not being able to tell the time.No matter how often I would teach her she would really struggle.Her teacher recommended buying a clock that is designed to help kids learn to tell the time and so far it appears to be working.All the minutes are clearly written, it gives the main quarters used and they are divided into colours.It is a hard composite, not to heavy but not light. The clockwork itself is actually a nice talking point with your children as you can show them how they work. Each cog is a different colour and the clear window gives a nice view of the movement.It has been running for a couple of weeks now and it has not lost any time and the second hand moves with a nice steady movement.If you found my review useful please consider giving me a helpful vote and perhaps a follow for future reviews. In general a decent clock but could be easier for kids to read. No need for the clock to be split into quarters colour wise. Would be better if the hour hand matched the hour numbers in colour and the minute hand matched the minute numbers in colour.One of the main reasons I bought this clock was for the silent mechanism. I've had it for about 4 weeks now and it has started ticking. Since it is hanging in my daughter's bedroom this is far from ideal. I haven't let the supplier know yet so not sure if they will be willing to exchange.

My son loves this clock as he was becoming frustrated with not being able to read regular clocks. This has helped with his confidence. I would recommend this clock for any SEN children who may be finding it more difficult than their friends to learn to tell the time.

Bought for my 5 years old bedroom as she is learning to tell the time, she really loves how she can't hear the ticking as that was distressing her with her previous clock.

This clock looked good out of the packaging but once the clock had a battery in the second hand clock got stuck on the other hand therefore it was faulty so had to return it for a refund.

Bought for use in year 1 classroom.The children loved it and find it easy to read. It's easy to teach from too. Good size.

Easy to follow - three year old grandson has picked up things fast 👍🏾
