I inject these into my cat's collars as an additional means of ensuring his microchip activated pet door opens when he needs the door opened.Ensure you register the duplicate chips on the free microchip database, in the event somebody scans the collar chip instead of the chip embedded under the skin.

Worst microchips I've ever used. Dull needle with nothing to keep the microchip from coming out with the needle. Very poor quality overall. Most implanters have something that keeps the chip in (albeit it is always recommended to grab the chip through the skin when removing the implanter). These ones do not.

This was delivered very quickly and properly packaged. No issues with the chip being outside of the needle. It was visible within but no issues. The needle is large but it has to be to hold the chip. Unfortunately when trying to use this with one of my dogs, he squirmed at the last possible moment and the microchip didn’t get inserted. This can happen when you don’t have an assistant holding the dog securely for you. It wasn’t a big deal, just a recommendation that you have someone assist you with this so the chip is properly inserted. I went ahead and purchased a double set from HomeAgain to microchip my dogs instead of purchasing these one at a time. I would recommend based purely on speed of delivery, packaging, and quality of the item received. Remove the blue safety strip prior to trying to push the plunger. That’s a safety measure to keep the chip contained within the syringe. Anything else was a mistake on my part.

Doesn’t seem to scan some older chips. Not sure why. 2 of my 3 dogs say no microchip found.

We raise SpringerDoodles ( English Springer Spaniel and Standard Poodle) and these are by far my favorite chips to buy. All of our puppies go to their forever families already microchipped. I've not have any of these chips fail to scan properly. I am able to register these with the kennel club and any other registry without problems. The 1.4mm is perfect for puppies.

As a business man, I have many business travels and sometimes I want my little puppy go abroad with me. This microchip really help us in this way. I could take it anywhere in the world now. Really thank you!!! Hope this microchip could help more people and their puppies.

We bought another model of chip reader here on Amazon that's very similar in specs, about ten bucks cheaper, and recognizable by the button on the side rather than on the front like this one. That other model didn't work at all - the numbers it read out never matched the chips, the USB feature never worked and the battery died the first day and wouldn't recharge.This one works great! We verified the numbers all match what they should on our recent HomeAgain brand chips and our older random-various brand chips. Thank goodness, and it's still a lot cheaper than the hundreds of dollars that the brand-official RFID readers cost. It scans very quickly and easily with a quick swipe past the pet. It stores the last several scans and if you plug it into a computer it inputs them for you - or you can plug it in and then scan and have it input it as you go, which is super convenient!
