Worth the wait. Cuts like a Silky but for more accurate work in Dry wood.
I use a fair number of handsaws and for pruning green to moderately dry wood silky by far are my favorite. That being said their pruning line is not accurate enough for starting cuts that need some accuracy and I had heard good things from Timber Framers about this saw so I got one. This saw along with the IRWIN 2011201 (15-inch ProTouch Coarse Cut Saw) has quickly become my favorite saw for accurate cuts in 2x4 and 4x6 or bigger. Cross cuts are incredibly smooth, 45deg and ripping are pretty good as well. This is also a great saw for finishing thick cuts that you've started with your circular saw. Its a fairly large blade for a Japanese style saw and even so due to the handle comfort, pointed tip and thick blade it feels accurate , robust, and agile all at the same time. Keep in mind It will take 3 weeks to a month to arrive after ordering so if you think you will need it just order it now. Replacement blades are like $13 bucks and that's extremely economical in my mind compared to what you pay for silky blades. All in all I am very happy I tried this saw and cant imagine not having it my arsenal now.

Tried this in place of Silky
I have used several Japanese saws by different manufacturers. They have all been of high quality. Most recently I've been using a Silky saw (I forget the model) for pruning and rough lumber sawing, which has been a fine saw. But this ZETT saw is of nearly identical specifications, and it's much lower price is attractive, so I bought one plus a couple replacement blades.Transit time from Japan to USA was 2-3 weeks, which is fine unless you need a saw immediately. I've used the saw several times and find it to be of excellent quality. It has performed well cutting any type of wood, hard or soft. I haven't had the saw long enough to know long term durability, but at this point I feel it's as good as the Silky and a better value due to lower cost. I'll order a few more spare blades "just in case" they become unavailable.

Performance
If you need a decent pruner or firewood saw look no further! This will power through pine and cherry no problem. That said you are gonna be felling trees over 6-8inches you might need a bit extra length.

Great price for a hard working saw
I liked this so much, I bought a second so I could keep one in the woodshop and the other for pruning.

Aggressive teeth and good balance.
I love the yellow colored extra long handle. It provides a great grip for sailing through difficult thick cuts. The long blade is extra sharp and cuts like a hot knife through butter. Will be using this fine tool for many tasks in my shop.

Beefy
I purchased this saw to help with finishing circular saw cuts that weren’t deep enough to get through pine landscaping timbers. The saw blade is fairly rigid for a Japanese style, which helps with the softer fiber of the pine. And, after more than a dozen cuts, the pine sap is still not building up on the teeth. Still have a ways to go on my project, but so far I am very happy with this saws performance.

Love it so far. Quick, clean cuts.
Got this for bigger cuts, dealing with joinery in 4x4s and similar. Much faster than most Japanese saws and much cleaner than fast western saws.

Fantastic saw
I never received the saw because of a mixup from Japan Post—I blame the pandemic and chaos impacting shipping operations. I ordered it elsewhere and the saw is amazing. Gorgeous clean cuts through 6 by 6’s was worth the hassle.
