What a great idea! My six year old has really liked using these and is learning a lot.These are perfect for creating frame worthy prints at home!My review philosophy:As a longtime customer of Amazon, I depend on others' honest reviews. It is awesome and I highly recommend everyone to purchase this product!4 stars – I like it, but there are some flaws. Don't we all have flaws? I would purchase again.3 stars - It was okay, but I would probably not buy it again unless there are no other options.2 stars – There may be worse products out there, but you can definitely find better choices.1 star – I dislike the product, I wish I had not purchased it and recommend others to not purchase.

Easy to use. My son loved the pencil. The package arrived well and it was easy to put the batteries. It is a good method of use for these little ones who can learn in an easy and fun way. The media could not be loaded.  It says every answer on the card is wrong. The right answer should turn green, and they're all red.

I would like to see headphone port or louder volume. It is hard for my students to hear.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this Hot Dots pen to replace the original one that comes with the set and it works like a champ! Has great volume controls but we're not using them much. So far durability seems to be a long term aspect! Which is good for the pocket$. My mom gave my daughter this gift a year ago and we love it! I would definitely recommend as a gift for a toddler.

I ordered this Hot Dot pen for my 2-year old. Her brother has the dog, so I wanted to be sure that we could tell the pens apart. I was kind of iffy about ordering this because I read several reviews that said that it could not tell correct answers from incorrect answers. I took a gamble and ordered it anyway.I ordered a set of  Educational Insights Hot Dots Jr. Cards - Shapes  to go with this...I played with it first to be sure the owl knew what he was talking about. So far, he had all of the correct answers. We have not used this very much, because she is more interested in building blocks, color sorting cups, etc right now. We have used it lightly for about 2 months and it is holding up fine.The colors are bright and pretty and I think that she will like it once she gets interested in the cards.

As Pete the Cat is such a favorite character for my pediatric speech therapy clients, this is a great motivator! I use the sequencing hot dot cards during therapy and this device works great with the cards! I like that you can set the volume from high to medium to off (although it's not very loud). He looks just like the character in the books and every client is motivated to use Pete the Cat to do their sequence stories. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone using the hot dot cards.
