Beginning Biblical Studies: Revised Edition

I have been looking for a short intro book for Biblical Studies for years. Others have revised and revised and added so much it is impossible to expect students today to read both assigned biblical passages and sections of other textbooks. This fits the bill it has what I sense is the essential information and is brief enough to expect students to read assigned sections of the Bible. While it was largely designed for Catholic students the relevant information peculiar to Catholic interpretation are easily omitted (or made optional) in a classroom in which most students are not Catholic.

Very comprehensive introduction to modern day Scripture studies. Includes about 50 years of in depth research and discovery.
