I accidentally bought this fruit fly food, not realizing it didn’t come with fruit flies. Once I got actual flies, I did end up utilizing this product, and the flies thrived! This is great replacement food for the flies and is sure to keep them alive and healthy. Josh’s Frogs always knocks ur out of the park!

Thanks to Josh's Frogs I raise my own fruit flies and it saves me a ton of money. For each culture I can get 3 or 4 blooms so I never run out. I got the FF media, excelsior filler, and the cups with lids as well as the flies all from Josh's Frogs. They have everything you need.

Not impressed with the product. The only difference I've noticed between this pre-made mix and my own recipe is that whatever they use as a "mold inhibitor" doesn't work. Turmeric and apple cider vinegar work much better.

The media works well but infested with grain mites even after boiled water

This stuff smells like a delicious oatmeal breakfast, until a few weeks if fly life happen. I prefer this to some of the other name brand products as it is not as liquidy. I tried to mess with the mixture a little and found, ultimately, the exact directions to be the best mix...duh..
