I received the unit and it had a factory seal-sticker indicating the item was brand-new and not refurbished.Upon unboxing, it came with a helpful instruction manual that was easy to understand. The cable connector that goes into the back of the unit is sturdy and screws in after plugging in, like high-end cables sometimes do to prevent accidental disconnection, which was surprising to see (for the handheld attachment). The power connecting cord does not have any extra locking stability and is easily detachable- if the unit is not moved during use, this should be no problem. The soft-touch buttons to adjust the time/intensity are too maleable, and I squished one of the buttons into the cavity too far where it got stuck. I was able to push around and un-stick it, but that was a small concern. Also, worth noting, there is a power switch underneath the machine, which you must power on in order to use the Power button on top of the unit.I am new to using a device such as this, although it seems quite intense and may just be satisfactory, time will tell. I did the "egg test" with this device and was surprised to see that it was responsive (The egg experiment of cavitation is as follows: normal ultrasonic cannot cause damage to eggs underwater, because it is difficult to reach fat parts of the egg underwater if it is simply rely on thermal effects: cavitation can easily reach the fat parts of the egg underwater and quickly break the fat parts).I tested the item on myself, staring with my right hip/flank on a high intensity for 5 minutes. I used the recommended Medvat Ultrasonic Gel in Lavender. Either the intensity was too high, not enough gel, or I was in one area for too long, but I got some very minor redness and a few tiny red bumps after about 4 minutes. I paused and lathered on more gel and lowered the intensity down to 4 and finished. There was no discomfort, but I was alarmed to see a few tiny raised bumps. I opted to continue my experiment on my left side with more liberal application of the gel, more conscientious continuous movement of the device, and a 3-4 intensity VS the highest setting of 5, and had no adverse reaction. Since I had no reaction, I continued to work on my stomach for 5 minutes with medium settings and also had no adverse skin reaction.I noticed that the device does get warm (comfortably so) and that the buzzing can be annoying, but it is not as loud or obnoxious as some reviewers suggest that it is---I live in an apartment complex and my kitchen appliances are louder, so this device is fairly discrete unless your house mate is trying to sleep (sounds like a quieter tattoo machine buzzing, for those of you familiar).All in all, I have no idea if this device will work in the long run, and I understand part of that may also be due to my operation of the device. As aforementioned, the manual is pretty handy, but I recommend listening to your body, watching how it responds, and adapting the settings to yourself/your client.Side note I have purchased a much cheaper ($70 all in one cavitation wand/light therapy) device and it did not pass the egg test, so I am optimisitc this may yield results.I will continue to use this device as recommended (once every 72 hours with specific limits on application duration) for the next few weeks. I will revisit this review for an update at that time, or, if I discover the device is defective or if some serious adverse affect occurs during my personal trial.As the device description indicates, this is a machine meant for professional use. Please use with care and understand there may be unexpected risks or consequence! That aside, hoping for the best and I will keep you all posted!

Over the course of the last couple of years I have lost a significant amount of weight (from a size 20 to a size 4). Some parts of my body are thinner than I intended to achieve while others are just way flabbier or chubby then you would expect on a petite person because natural weight loss doesn't work out to be perfectly even or perfectly proportioned.I have been looking for a legit at home ultrasonic fat cavitation device and it was actually another person's review complaining of the unbearable noise this device creates that gave me hope that this was a real one. I bought this along with the recommended "Medvat" gel and a dry-brush set to improve lymphatic drainage.It came well packaged and the factory seal had not been broken, so I definitely got a new device. Inside the box, the instructions were surprisingly thorough and well explained. I set it up and used it immediately. I was really generous with the gel and applied some to the metal plate of the device as well (like they do when you get an ultrasound) to really make sure I wouldn't get burned.I used it at setting 3 following the motion shown in the directions, swirling it around each area. After one use, I don't really notice a change in my arms, but after only one use my sides look -radically- different. I showed my kids my sides after only doing one side without telling them which side I had done, and both thought the right side looked dramatically better then the left, proving it wasn't just in my head.I intend to use the device on two areas every three days, as the instructions suggest, and I highly recommend it to anyone considering. Honestly if I never used the device again it would still be worth it because it would have cost a lot more money just to have my sides smoothed out at a spa.But fair warning: even when you fully expect it, the ultrasonic noise you hear during use is shockingly unbearable and even scary at first. All I can say is that the longer you use it the more your ears / brain just kind of adjust to the bizarre noise and it becomes less bothersome. After maybe ten minutes, it felt completely comfortable.

This is the SECOND time I've ordered this machine and received a used one! Unacceptable! If I'm paying full price for something I fully expect to receive a brand new item.

I had some cavitation sessions at spas years ago, and this machine is just as effective. Sculpts and slims where desired.
