Futura 8-1/2 x 11-Inch Laser Gloss Paper 80 lb Text

Great product and service.

Used this paper for sale sheets and other media. Mostly printing on HP Color Laser Jet CP1518ni . It was a nice pro gloss look and printing had few issues. The only problem that came up was when the printer first starts printing on the paper, it may not lay the charge down as well. Basically a small spot (<1/4") would pull up and adhere a roller's circumference down the page. It looks like I cut and paste this spot about an inch down. I believe this is because it's not warmed up as it went away after a few prints and may have been the cartridges themselves. This is why I'm not letting it affect my review of the paper. Also, when it arrived, the wimpy paper wrap was torn but the paper was unaffected. Basically the vendor just stuck it in a USPS box and stuffed rolled up USPS envelopes and some bubble wrap around it. It works, just seems sketchy.For the cost, it's hard to beat.

This is reportedly a 80lb paper, but certain papers have a different thickness scale. My printer supposedly tops out at 43lb. This is actually about a 32lb paper measured by normal standards. It's a glossy paper double sided but a little thick to go through the paper tray so I feed it manually on my Brother HL-3170CDW. The surface is really more like a lustre from my Epson experience but does a decent job of showing line art and some pictures (not full size) well. Not thick enough to act well as a game piece (like a playing card -- my epson inkjet glossy is much thicker) but thick enough to avoid showthroughs and to be glued onto chipboard for counters. Quality is very good.

This paper was just what I was looking for, and it was delivered very quickly. It went through the printer smoothly with only 3 or 4 misfeeds out of 1,000, and my pamphlets turned out beautiful and professional looking. Will buy again.

Although the packaging is clearly labeled "80 lb. Gloss Text," the contents are clearly not 80 lb. nor gloss. This is closer to 20 lb. matte. Do not purchase this unless you're comfortable being lied to.

Ream of paper was discounted as the packaging was slightly torn. Paper inside was Ok. Would buy again.

Get the most from your color laser printer. This paper is the ticket to good looking photographs that are sharp and true color. It was hard to find but we're glad we got it. What a difference in reproduction from standard paper.
