I'd imagine the threads are different between most models of generators, so I planned to buy different versions of these until one of them fit right (starting with the least expensive). This is the first one purchased and just so happened to fit like a glove. My generator is the WEN 56480iX.The machine work is great, the whole cap is very smooth and rounded. There are no burrs or bumps. The threads are even and smooth too. I don't know if I needed to, but I wraped the threads with Teflon tape and hand tightened the cap and I have no leaks at all. Very happy with the purchase:)Add my Wen WEN 56480iX to the list of compatible generators.**UpdateI've used this multiple times now. Couple things I've discovered; First, the threads on this match exactly to the threads on the 2 gallon red Harbor Freight gas can, the .75 gallon Rural King can, etc. So maybe that'll help you make sure the threads are the same as your project. Second, this cap is kinda tall a smidgen and the folks with leaking problems may not have the gasket seated. A second gasket let me use this on another application with a shorter lip. And last, the fitting that comes with it is good and all,but the other reviewer who said to just get a 90 degree out the gate... they're right. Just do it.Super awesome gas cap!! Get you one or 2!

It came with extremely sharp threads which can damage the plastic generator fuel inlet. I used emery cloth to dull the threads and remove some burrs and now works fine. I used more Teflon tape than provided to ensure airtight connection between brass nipple and cap.

The product title lies, and this cap is dangerously unsuited for the honda eu2200i. It does not fit, and gasoline can leak out over the generator. Do not buy this product for use with the honda eu2200i.

Works great. Extends the run time of my iu2000. Found gas can caps that I drilled a hole in for the tubing tubing at Home Depot.

I assumed it would fit since the description said it would fit the Westinghouse and I was incorrect. Seems well made.

I tought would fit prediter gen when made for honda

Used this to power my Honda from a gas can while sleeping in the camper with AC running all night. Works great!!

I ran the generator for approximately 20 hours and had no problems with the extended run fuel system and gas cap. You need your factory gas cap for transport and then switch to the extended run gas cap when reaching your destination.

Easy to use

Absolutely does not fit the Westinghouse Generator. The cap is much smaller than the tank inlet.The review is for the seller. Product seems fine, however i was only able to hold it and not use it. So i cant really say. if its any good.

Hooked up new gas cap to generator and generator to aux gas can, just placed rubber hose inside can and it siphoned out gas. Used this on Honda2200I . If generator doesn’t seem to be drawing gas out of aux can, wrap some kitchen Saran Wrap around neck of new gas cap and it will work really good, had this running for 3 days and no problem

This will NOT fit a Generac 2200i. It is too small.

Bought this to enjoy extended run time on my Honda Genny by using an auxiliary fuel tank. I found this fuel cap adapter a bit difficult to install without cross threading the "plastic" threads on the Genny itself. Rather than risk ruining the threads I ordered an OEM fuel cap (plastic or whatever it's called) and adapted it to work as was needed. Don't think I would buy the "red aluminum" one again.
