Easy to assemble with power tools
Nice bed, all the parts were there and in good condition and everything fit together. Took only 2 hours to assemble, I assembled each side in the garage and put the sides and bottoms together in the bedroom. One person can put it together but a second person will speed it up the final assembly. Spend a few dollars on a cordless 1/4" driver and a couple of ball hex bits or it would take much longer to put together. My daughter loves the bed and my grand kids are jumping on it already.

Worth it
It does make that groan when it's shifted about. Any metal framed bed would do that. It does not feel like it's going to break anywhere when it does though. This stands out as good quality and construction with ease of assembly at the top tier of best buying options for metal frame bunk beds. Color is black and deep grey, leaving options for magnetic hang on curtain or poles (not sold together, we purchased elsewhere) to enclose bottom and or have a table on the side of top bunk.

Love. Just wish it was a little more sturdy.
It’s amazing and cheap! I looked all over. I got to touch this before I bought it which helped a lot (at Ashley) but it was way more expensive.

Heavy Metal
It's a good thing that this product is so well made, because when it was finally delivered the box looked like it had been run over by a bus several times. That's one of the downsides of ordering very heavy objects from Amazon. They really take a beating during delivery, largely due to being insufficiently boxed. Despite there being holes large enough in the box to put my arm through all of the pieces were more or less undamaged. Some scratches, but that was it.As other reviewers have noted, this box is REALLY heavy. It was easiest for me to just open the box up on my door step and carry the individual parts inside. I can't imagine trying to haul that box up a flight of stairs! Assembly is quite a chore. Absolute minimum construction time is probably about an hour. Plan on spending 2-3 hours on it though if you have not put one of these together before. Construction is not so much difficult as it is time consuming. As with most items made overseas, you can't really expect much help from the manual. There is a lot of guesswork involved due to the poor instructions.Once assembled, it's a pretty nice piece of furniture. If I had to do it over again I would probably go for a product made of wood though. The metal parts have a lot of square and sharp edges to them, which could really hurt if your child accidentally bumps against them. Wood is a lot more forgiving in that respect. In any event, this is a decent product for the money and I would expect it to last quite awhile.

Very heavy, but sturdy
This item was delivered by two men and is quite heavy to move. It has quite a lot of assembly, but the instructions are easy to follow. It comes with all of the necessary tools and hardware, but it does take quite sometime to fully assemble it. Once we got it put together, my kids absolutely loved it! It is sturdy, does not rock, and offers plenty of room between the bottom and top bunk. My kids do not really like the side ladder because it is metal and hurts their bare feet to climb, compared to their older bunk bed that had attached stairs. The difference between the two model is the amount of space it take ups in the room. The price between the two were comparable, so the value to each person is going to be based on your personal preferences. The top bunk is snug with the mattress and making the bed up is quite difficult, which is no different than just about every other bunk bed on the market. There is even enough room under the bed for storage or even a trundle bed. The quality in appearance and materials is good, and we are overall happy with this product.

Great looking, sturdy bunk bed. Ladder hurts feet though.
This is a really nice looking bunk bed that would go in just about any decor. A few things to note:- It weighs a TON! You will need 2-3 people to get this in your house and up a set of stairs like we did.- Because it weighs a ton, you better believe it's super sturdy!! That's great because the bunk beds I had growing up were really wobbly and squeaky. This is not one of those!- It's very easy to assemble and the instructions were clear which I really appreciate.- There's plenty of room underneath for sliding some storage bins with clothes and toys which is what we do- The ladder steps are painful on big or small bare feet. Kids don't seem to mind as much but I tried climbing up in my bare feet and it was extremely uncomfortable. This seems to be a chronic problem with most bunk beds though. It's obvious that adults who don't sleep on the top bunk anymore are the ones who design them haha. I wish someone would get it right!I can definitely recommend this bunk bed for the price!
