First off, let me say the Tenergy Centura low self discharge all meeted or exceeded their rated capacity. What i was more concerned about was self discharge and build quality. I weigh each cell, and measure internal resistance of each cell to check for consistency and quality. These Tenergy Centuras are the closest you will get to Eneloop without buying Eneloop. I own multiple brands including Tenergy Premium and Premium pro.If you need more capacity and are willing to sacrifice cycle life and self discharge then go for Premium pro.. they are good batteries from Tenergy as well.But these have a much higher cycle life, and I prefer that at the sacrifice of a little capacity.The cells I received were manufactured several months ago, and still pulled 1660mah for AA and 740mah for AAA. The results were very consistent, the weights of the cells was very consistent, the internal resistance was around 24 to 25.5 milliohm for AA and around 32milliohm for AAA (Tenergy Premium pro is similar IR if you were wondering)The only cells I have found with IR that matches Eneloop is the black (not green) duracells, but they are 2500mah so I wont be buying much more of them since they only offer about 500 cycles. These 2000mah AA's like Eneloop and Centuras offer 2000+ cycles in their lifetime.So to sum it up.. these Centuras are not Eneloops, but they are the closest thing you will get as far as quality and consistency. They have 25% higher IR which means they will probably last 1000 to 1500 cycles while Eneloop will last 2000. But the quality is there, so if the price is right then I say go for it.Self discharge is the best ive seen outside of Eneloops, good enough to where I can see you recharging these every 4 to 6 months in low drain devices.I will be using these along with Eneloops in my household, and keeping a select few sets of higher capacity cells (Like Tenergy Premium Pros) for the rare occasions I need high capacity cells. Also, something to note.. Amazon basics are inconsistent weight, inconsistent IR, and inconsistent capacity.. hard pass. Tenergy is close in price and much better. But if you have the coin, Eneloop will have your back for the long long term if you can swing the cost.

With all the devices that require batteries, I wish I had saved myself some money and bought these sooner! So far they work great. I have enough that I can have the dead ones charging (usually overnight) while using fully charged ones. My kids use them in their Xbox controllers and I am impressed with how long they last. They don’t play all that often and so it’s hard for me to give an estimated time on just how long they last but enough that I am definitely impressed and happy with this purchase. Will be purchasing more just because and for back up. Flashlights, radios, bike lights, trimmer, kid toys… ya know all the things that still take batteries.

Hold charge well, but will have to charge if not used within 30 days

I've bought several sets of these LSD NiMH's over the years. Every one of them is still working fine. I can't say that of any other brand I've bought.

I've tried many different brands over the years, and these are my favorites. They hold a solid charge and last a long time.
