A great hammock (so far), especially for the price
Before talking about the specifics of this hammock, I want to address something said in one of the (currently) top reviews: "Wrong shape! This is a simple rectangle of fabric, bunched up and gathered at the ends. This means that sides are higher and much more taught than the middle. You CANNOT lay flat when perpendicular to the ropes."I can only assume that this reviewer has no prior experience with hammocks. This is the absolutely correct shape for a gathered-end hammock, like this product and the vast majority of camping hammocks on the market. You can lay perfectly flat in this style of hammock by simply laying at a bit of an angle. I have had quite a few different hammocks over the years from no-name brands to more well-known ones like ENO, and this product is pretty much identical in shape to every other open, gathered-end hammock I've ever seen.As to my thoughts on this product in particular...I've only had this hammock a few days, so I can't say much about durability, but the quality seems pretty good. All of the seams are triple-stitched except for the hem along the edges of the side panels and where the pocket is attached (which is fine, since those seams don't need to be particularly strong). The fabric is a bit thinner than some other hammocks I've owned, but seems strong enough (and I'm a fairly big guy). I've had a hammock rip catastrophically while on a camping trip before, so that's something I'm very wary of. But short of actually trying to rip a brand new hammock... it seems fine.As far as comfort... It's a hammock. There's not a huge difference between one and another (at least until you start looking at more expensive ones that have features like double layers so you can insert a pad). That said, this one is pretty comfy. It's plenty wide enough to lay flat without your feet dangling off the side. I've always considered hammocks to be single-person regardless of how they're advertised, but this one is certainly big enough to fit two people (though I can't say how comfortably).Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this product, especially for the price. My only words of caution would be to recommend that you get some straps rather than relying on the ropes that come with this hammock, and to pay close attention to the knots where the hammock is attached to the carabiners when you set it up then first time. The knots on mine were very loosely tied, with the rope more wrapped around the carabiners than knotted on itself. It only took a few minutes to dress and tighten the knots on each end of the hammock, but if I hadn't I'd have probably found myself sitting on the ground the first time I tried to get in the hammock. If I have any issues with this hammock I'll update this review, but so far this seems like a really great hammock for the price.

Love the hammock, not the ropes
It’s a good size hammock, holds up well. Not a fan of the ropes it came with. Would have rather had the straps

A bit big for a hammock stand
I bought it bra cause a reviewer said it would fit on a hammock stand. Unfortunately it is a bit big for a stand. I will have to find some sturdy trees. It’s a very nice well made hammock. I am quite pleased with the quality. Just a bit disappointed in the reviews.

Comfortable, portable, easy to set up!
We love it. Only complaint I have is that I should have sprung the extra $5.00 for the one that comes with a big net.

My grandkids love them and they are rough on these things. Looking forward to camp with these.

A cheap alternative
It is a thin material, so if you are planning on sharing it or maybe sleeping in it, this is not the choice for you. Otherwise, if you just want to sit and enjoy yourself, then this is a good alternative.

if you want a really comfortable and versatile hammock, keep looking
I’m returning this one. Don’t waist your time with the rope attachment version. If you buy this at all, spend the extra buck or two for one with straps.Overall, I’m quite disappointed.PRO: small and relatively light (save for the metal carabiners - steel, not aluminum, I think).CONS: (1) Wrong shape! This is a simple rectangle of fabric, bunched up and gathered at the ends. This means that sides are higher and much more taught than the middle. You CANNOT lay flat when perpendicular to the ropes. The way this has been made and gathered means that the sides are __always__ higher than the middle and the sides curl up to form a cocoon around you. This means you have to sleep curved like a banana.(2) Difficult to exit. This is mostly related to the wrong shape issue above, but it’s very hard to get out when your legs are forced higher than you butt because the sides are more taught than the middle.(3) Undersized. They claim this is a “double” and imply it is strong enough for two people. Due to the wrong shape issue above, it would very much feel like two bananas in one peel - just way too tight.I can’t speak to durability, that is time dependent. The impressions above are based on my first day of use. As a very cheap, “picnic at the park” sort of hammock that you have on hand - something you don’t care too much about - this is fine enough for the price. But if you want a really comfortable and versatile hammock, keep looking - this isn’t what you want.
