Move into Life: The Nine Essentials for Lifelong Vitality Hardcover – April 28, 2009

I am halfway through this book and am totally enjoying it while learning about my brain, the body, etc. I ordered several of her DVDs also. Highly recommend this for almost anyone - mothers of young children, those working with the elderly, those who may be experiencing pain in the body.

I have read so many self development books which talk about being in the present moment but without actually teaching you how to "do it". (Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie etc.) As I was reading this book I realized that doing Anat's lessons has been the only way I have been able to develop the skill of being present and aware. When I began the training with Anat I had so many random thoughts flying through my head and so little awareness of what I was actually doing with myself. It is a skill which needs to be learned. This is an incredible book which explains Anat's principles (The Nine Essentials) and how to put them into practice right away.The Anat Baniel Method has been life changing for me. After an injury I was told I would be permanently disabled in 30% of my body. Today I am pain free and move better than I have in my entire life! Thank you Anat!!!

I bought Anat's book after watching several of her DVDs. I found it interesting in understanding her essentials a little deeper.This book is easy to read with lots of real examples which I find very helpful in being more aware of working with my clients as a physical therapist.Move Into Life is helpful not only in improvement of physical movement but also in the thinking, emotional and feeling.I became more conscious in introducing her essentials into my practice. This book could make our life more wonderful!

An excellent book which allows persons with painful or misaligned bodies develop new neural pathways in the brain to correct harmful patterns used to compensate due to accident, sickness or injury. I am enamored at how easy and successfully I have been able to use my body and walk and move more within within my skeletal structure. (I am now feeling like I am balanced over my bones and my walking is not an effort anymore.) I work with, not against my structure. I recommend this to anyone who is not getting as much out of linear physical therapy or those who wish to maximize their body's movements.

Great book, but this wasn't the most current version and that was not clear when ordering my Kindle copy during the beginning of the COVID19 shut down. I'm out the money as I didn't find out until the books arrived 6 weeks later.

Having checked the book out of the library, I soon found it is much more that its title suggests. So I bought it from my favorite bookseller, Amazon of course.It's not a book for bedtime reading: even doing one of the simple arm movements is energizing.Without having finished it yet, I'm hopeful that movements to open the body can also help open the mind to new ways of thinking. It may also help keep the mind focused and away from the distractions that like to intrude on the aging brain. Perhaps an old dog can learn new tricks.

I can honestly say that this wonderful book has changed the way I live my life. I have always been pretty useless at meditation and following the main principles of this book is helping me to get the benefits of meditation without actually doing any meditation! I have been practising the '9 Essentials' for 3 weeks now and have definitely noticed an increase in energy levels. I feel that I seem to be getting so much more out of my life. I find Baniel's practical focus works beautifully with all the neuroscience info interspersed throughout the book. Highly recommended.

This book is excellent. The 9 principles that the book explains are really good, and well outlined. The method seems very effective.

This is well worth reading and the techniques and information are a real help.The concepts have an effect on the whole being and her work with children is amazing.
