Star Wars R Darth Vader vs Ahsoka Tano

Alright, here's the best mission series pack ever. First of all, this pack has been eagerly anticipated since the Rebels season finale back in spring. The figures were announced, and everyone went crazy. Now, 6 months later, Hasbro has generously produced a fantastic pack. I don't often do written reviews of figures, but I often do video reviews on youtube, and my channel name is ScienceFictionToyReviews if anyone wants to check that out, as I will be reviewing this pack there too. However, this pack warrants a written review here. Lets go over the simple things first.ACCESSORIESThere are several accessories in this pack, both characters come with their lightsabers, which I'll go over in their respective part of this review. Now, there are 2 gimmicky accessories in this pack, which are aimed for the kids. And they are all retools or rereleases of previous gimmicks. Ahsoka comes with a blue force wheel, which originally came in red with Darth Maul from the clone wars, in the target exclusive figure 3 pack. This time it is in pale blue, and it still has the two holes in it to make her sabers into a rotating saberstaff. Vader comes with a red force disk, which is a retool of the 2012 clone wars figures accessories. It is a retooled launcher, and a new disk. The original disk looked like a spinning lightsaber, and this disk is just a red disk. All in all, they offer little value to the pack and are the accessories that are aimed at kids, but kids never use because they're clunky, unattractive, and just generally stupid.AHSOKANow, Ahsoka has been a fan favorite character since the 2008 clone wars movie. And her appearance in Rebels has been met with a warm reception. This figure is an almost perfect representation of what she looks like in Rebels. She comes with her 2 lightsabers, which have minimal detailing and her new white blades. She has the standard Rebels 5 points of articulation, however, something new has been done here. Instead of a swivel head, she has a ball jointed head. Her head tails make it mostly useless though, however it makes for a nice new feature for this lineup. Her outfit is recreated well, and the only thing I could say is her headsculpt looks slightly off. It looks enough like Ahsoka to be passable, but just barely.DARTH VADERNow, Darth Vader is a nice figure, who looks very much like his Rebels appearance. In Rebels, a lot of the designs are based off of Ralph Maquarrie's original concept art, and that's what they did with Vader here. He has a more angular appearance. He has the standard 5 points of articulation, and a ball jointed head. Nothing really can be said here. He looks like Vader.WRAP UPAll in all, this is a fantastic pack. It delivers a much needed punch in the slow moving Rebels line up. Ahsoka will go well with the upcoming Rebels Captain Rex figure. Vader is needed in front of the Rebels stormtroopers. All in all. These figures are of great quality and fun to display.

As a huge fan of the Rebels cartoon series, this was a must have for my collection. The figures look great, especially the Ashoka Tano figure. Other action figures based on cartoon depictions of her look funny because of the paint application of the eyes, but this Rebels one is excellent. One drawback is that these figures only have five points of articulation (5POA). Some people like that, however, I grew up playing with 5POA figures because that's all there was, and I much prefer more posability. Just the idea of Ashoka fighting her former master Anakin in the form of the dark lord Vader is so incredibly awesome!

I always intended to keep Vader and Ahsoka in the box for display (the art on the box is amazing), and I am SO happy with the way it looks. I tested how they would look outside the box but since their arms are not articulated at the elbow, they can really only stick their lightsabers out front in a very stiff way. I'm sure this is fine for kids playing with the toys, but not very picturesque for a collector display. But the lightsabers themselves are very well crafted and adorable!P.S. If anyone wants a very animated, well-sculpted Ahsoka, I suggest the snagging her Disney Infinity figure from ebay. Super cheap, super high quality and cute (and I don't play Infinity or have any other figures).

Not a huge fan of Rebels but these are fantastic looking figures and likeness is top notch. Articulation is very average for this series run, but the lighsaber's are very sturdy and much like the classic sabers. Ashoka figure is very cool looking, but also very frail and might be easily breakable with children who play rough. The look of this Darth Vader is very comic book like and early Mcquarrie-esqe, which is why I originally got these, but his cape does not detach, which might be a plus for some collectors. I wouldn't pay more that $10 or $11 for this pair. I got these above when it was $7.99. May the Force be with us all....

Brought for my son's birthday. He loves them. They are great toys. Love Star Wars! All pieces move the way they should. Do need to be careful with the lightsabers, they do break easy.

Originally thought this would be a steal, because its a two-figure set...but it turns out I get why this is priced low. Not the best quality toy.. I can see younger kids breaking these easily. I bought it just because I love both Vader and Ahsoka.. should've read some more reviews before purchasing it.

Two classic characters with intertwined story arcs. Great get for any Star Wars fan

Nice quality. Difficult to find a good miniature of this quality for this price

Only real complaint is the silly gimmick weapons they come with; but if I were a little kid I am sure I would have loved them.These two are well crafted and welcome additions to my displays.
